Prior to their Friday night home opener, members of the Houston Texans made a trip to Uvalde, Texas, this week to meet with the Uvalde High School football team. The Texans made the announcement as part of their tour that they will work with Nike to get the Uvalde Coyotes football club new jerseys. CEO Cal McNair, vice president of the Houston Texans Foundation Hannah McNair, head coach Lovie Smith, linebackers Christian Kirksey and Kamu Grugier-Hill, and director of player care and sports medicine Roland Ramirez were also in the traveling group. Kirksey remarked, “It was just great to see the joy on their cheeks. It absolutely thrilled my heart to be a leader and not only a football player, but also someone who can be a second shoulder to depend on. We’re just happy to be there and we give them our full support.” The Robb School Memorial Fund also received a $400,000 donation from the Texans.
