Wilson Zach is back. Wilson is expected to play against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, according to Jets coach Robert Saleh, who said on Wednesday that the quarterback has been given the all-clear to return to the field. Due to a knee injury acquired during New York’s first preseason game, Wilson has been out for the past two months. Just a few days after sustaining the injury in August, Wilson underwent successful surgery on his meniscus, putting him on a timeline for recovery that left Week 1 as a possibility. The Jets, on the other hand, have played it extremely safe and have relied on Joe Flacco, a seasoned pro, to handle starting quarterback duties while giving Wilson plenty of time to complete his recuperation. Wilson declared on Wednesday that “I’m ready to go,” suggesting that procedure was over. “I simply want to have fun and then come back and give it my all.”
