Roquan Smith was moved from the Chicago Bears to the Baltimore Ravens, where he would play for a different conference, franchise, and offensive system. It appears that he adjusted quite fast. Smith made his debut on Monday, one week after being relocated. He started and registered five tackles as part of an outstanding Ravens defensive performance that helped the team defeat the New Orleans Saints by a score of 27-13. Smith said on NFL Network after the game, “It felt fantastic just being out here with these guys. There were no selfish guys and being able to come out to a competitive team is wonderful,” he said. “They were incredibly supportive the entire week when I arrived here.” Smith does, in fact, now belong to a competitor. Smith was acquired by a Bears team that was in the midst of a rebuild and had a 3-6 record; he is now a part of a Ravens team that won its third consecutive game on Monday, advanced to 6-3, and is sitting atop the AFC North.
