Amari Cooper, a wide receiver who was dealt from Dallas to Cleveland in the summer, has already had success with his new squad. He teamed up with Jacoby Brissett to help the Browns defeat the Steelers on Thursday night.
After the victory, Brissett stated, “I’m delighted they did it. He’s been amazing; in fact, he’s one of the most intelligent, diligent guys I’ve ever worked with. He comes out here once a week, puts in a lot of effort each day, and it’s a delight to play with him. He wants to just keep doing this, I know that.”
Brissett and Cooper combined for seven receptions, 101 yards, two touchdown passes, and Cleveland’s 29-17 victory over Pittsburgh in the AFC North. They are aware of how nicely the partnership works.
