In light of his continuing contract discussions with the Ravens, Jackson updated his Instagram profile image and Twitter header to a picture of a gold grill with the phrase “I Need $” etched on it. However, the 25-year-old talked to Safid Deen of USA Today to set the record straight, insisting that the photographs had nothing to do with his contract negotiations as wild thoughts about what this may signify spread quickly.
Jackson cited the movie “How High,” from which a character wears at the grill, as the source of the image’s allusion. He just saw the film and found it humorous, so he posted about it on his social media accounts. Jackson said that the images had no hidden meaning and questioned why others interpreted them in such a way. He is adamant that the image has nothing to do with the Ravens.
