Cornerback The eagerly anticipated Los Angeles Chargers debut of J.C. Jackson will occur during prime time. Jackson will take part in the Chargers vs. Chiefs AFC West matchup on Thursday night at Arrowhead Stadium.
Jackson’s surgically repaired ankle had him labeled as doubtful and a game-time decision heading into Thursday, but he will play as the Bolts (1-0) attempt to defeat the Chiefs (1-0), the defending division champions.
Jackson, one of the most anticipated free agents of the 2022 offseason, had ankle surgery on August 23. Jackson is returning after missing Week 1’s victory against the Las Vegas Raiders due to the operation in an effort to slow down Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the K.C. attack. He has a $82.5 million contract with the Bolts and appears to be eager to play.
