Jason Pierre-Paul, a pass rusher for the Baltimore Ravens, insisted on Tuesday that he has no ill will toward the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but that he does want them to know what they’re missing when they play him Thursday night on Prime Video. His response sounded like it was straight out of the breakup manual. According to a statement posted on the team website on Tuesday ,Jason Pierre-Paul says “I understand the business side of football and I have no bitter emotions or ill blood against Tampa. I performed my duties there for four years before coming here. Simply said, I’m going to go show them what they lack.” After spending the previous four years with Tampa Bay, the 13-year veteran signed with the Ravens two games into the current campaign. In his stint with the New York Giants and Buccaneers, Pierre-Paul won two Super Bowl championships and was selected to three Pro Bowls. He made the Pro Bowl in 2020 for the Buccaneers with 9.5 sacks, but his 2021 season saw a decline with just 2.5 sacks and 31 tackles in 12 games.
