In the upcoming weeks, the New England Patriots could be without their starting quarterback. In Sunday’s 37-26 loss to the Ravens, Mac Jones is thought to have sustained a high ankle sprain and will probably be out for a while. Jones will get an MRI on Monday, and according to Rapoport, if the test confirms the sprain, Jones might be placed on injured reserve (IR). He could be out for a substantial chunk of the season as a result of this. During the Patriots’ final offensive play of the game, on an interception, Jones suffered the injury. Unable to bear weight on the injured leg, Jones hopped to the sideline. He was then observed being assisted down the stairs to the changing room while in obvious discomfort. Before being replaced, Jones completed 22 of 32 passes for 321 yards and three interceptions, failing the team’s comeback attempt against Baltimore.
