The struggling Tampa Bay Buccaneers continue to suffer losses and injuries. Based on his initial examination, Bucs outside linebacker Shaquil Barrett is thought to have ruptured his Achilles. After Tampa Bay’s 27-22 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, head coach Todd Bowles told the media that Barrett “had an Achilles right now, so we’ll wait for an MRI, but it doesn’t seem good.” In the third quarter, a Ravens rushing play injured two-time Pro Bowler Barrett. He was soon removed from the game and carried off. After eight games, Barrett’s season would be over if an MRI showed he tore his Achilles. This would add to the increasing list of Buccaneers ailments. On Thursday, a number of Bucs were unavailable for Tampa to start the game, including wide receiver Russell Gage, cornerbacks Carlton Davis, Sean Murphy-Bunting, safety Antoine Winfield Jr., and defensive tackle Akiem Hicks.
