Cowboys LB Micah Parsons will play Sunday vs. Eagles

Micah Parsons stumbled his way to a strong showing in Week 5, and he’ll do it again if necessary in Week 6. Parsons said there is “no question” he will play in Sunday’s much-anticipated matchup between his Dallas Cowboys and the unbeaten Philadelphia Eagles, despite the fact that a groin ailment prevented him from practicing on Wednesday. Parsons told reporters on Wednesday that he was “just letting it rest and working, grinding it out so that I’ll be ready for Sunday.” The Cowboys (4-1) and the visiting Eagles will play for first place in the NFC East on Sunday night (5-0). With six sacks, Parsons is the NFL’s leader. Two of those came in Dallas’ 22-10 victory over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. Despite seeming to be hobbling, Parsons battled groin discomfort and was hardly ever hindered in a game in which he also registered five tackles, three quarterback hits, and a forced fumble on his way to winning NFC Defensive Player of the Week honors.
