Although the kicker will now be negotiating the turbulent gusts of the newly dubbed Acrisure Stadium, the moniker of the Steelers’ home field may have changed. According to Monday’s news reports, Pittsburgh has agreed to a four-year, $20 million contract deal with $12.5 million guaranteed for Chris Boswell. With an 88.4 field goal percentage over seven NFL seasons, all spent with the Steelers, Boswell is the fourth-most accurate kicker of all time. Boswell has been as automatic as they come for the Steel City, with the exception of a shaky 2018 in which he made only 13 of his 20 field goal tries. In five seasons, the Rice product has connected on 90% of his shots or better, including three straight campaigns after his tough period. Boswell’s new wage puts him on level with Ravens kicker Justin Tucker, and his deal is good through 2026.
