In the AFC West, Melvin Gordon will continue his 2022 campaign. Gordon is anticipated to join the Kansas City Chiefs’ practice squad. Gordon should soon be back in action after spending the previous week as a free agent, according to Pelissero. According to the transaction wire, the Chiefs also signed wide receiver Bryan Edwards in addition to Gordon. Edwards, a former Raiders third-round pick, had previously been released by the Falcons. Following an overtime loss to the Raiders in Week 10 in which Gordon fumbled at the goal line, the Denver Broncos released Gordon. The error by Gordon continued a mistake-filled season for Denver, where there were a total of five fumbles, two of which were lost. Due to his fumbles early in the season, the Broncos reduced Gordon’s playing time. The seasoned running back was left unclaimed on the waiver wire, giving him some discretion for his next playing location. Kansas City seized the chance to strengthen its excellent group of running backs by adding depth.
