The Packers’ defeat to New York in Week 5’s game against the Giants was decided in the closing seconds, hurting Aaron Rodgers in the process. Rodgers said during a Tuesday interview on the Pat McAfee Show that the final hit he sustained in the Giants defeat had left his thumb uncomfortable. Rodgers is skipping the Packers’ workout a day later. Packers supporters need not worry. For Sunday’s game against the Jets, Matt LaFleur assured reporters he is not concerned about Aaron Rodgers’ health. LaFleur told the reporters, “I don’t think we have any anxiety for game day.” The season hasn’t been smooth for Rodgers and the Packers in 2022; they were blanked in the second half of Sunday’s game and have had trouble scoring (just 14.3 points per game) when playing away from home. The Packers are fortunate to be back at Lambeau Field this weekend, where they have a 2-0 record and are averaging 27 points per game.
