In Canton, Ohio, the 2022 preseason is prepared to start. Just a little bit of a delay will be necessary. The Jacksonville Jaguars and Las Vegas Raiders’ 2022 Pro Football Hall of Fame Game has been postponed because of bad weather since there is lightning in the region.
According to the NBC broadcast, kickoff, which was initially set at 8 p.m. ET, is now anticipated to be 8:40 p.m. ET.
Approximately 30 minutes before kickoff on Thursday, a storm front moved into Canton as the Jaguars and Raiders warmed up on the field at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium. Around 7:40 p.m. ET, rain started to pour, prompting spectators to seek cover in the concourses when the stadium’s scoreboards announced the onset of severe weather.
Throughout the majority of the day leading up to the game, sporadic thunderstorms occasionally deposited rain on several areas of Northeast Ohio. The NFL was forced to postpone the yearly preseason kickoff because of the most recent storms. The time and date may still get postponed again.
