Winners of the Inaugural Awards of Excellence will be recognized this week

DSINFL Awards

Under a program the Pro Football Hall of Fame has started to recognize important contributors to the game, individuals from four groups — assistant coaches, athletic trainers, equipment managers, and public relations personnel — that work to drive team success within the sport of professional football have been identified for Awards of Excellence. On Wednesday and Thursday, the award recipients will be recognized at the Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. In addition to influencing outcomes on the field, these 20 outstanding assistant coaches, athletic trainers, equipment managers, and public relations specialists over several decades of dedication to their teams and the National Football League also helped to promote the game’s expansion, safety, and popularity, according to Hall of Fame President Jim Porter. The Hall of Fame, however, is not involved in these awards in any manner; nominations and voting are handled by other groups.
