Despite wanting to play in 2022, Ndamukong Suh is unlikely to return to Tampa

Ndamukong Suh, a free agent defensive lineman, wants to continue playing in the NFL. What the veteran will do with his skills in 2022 is the only open issue at this point. Suh reiterated his intention to play for a 13th season while serving as a guest commentator on Monday’s episode of “NFL Live” on ESPN 2. However, he noted that a return to Tampa Bay seemed doubtful. Suh declared, “(I’m) thrilled to actually really comprehend where I may possibly go. The Buccaneers appear to be out of the running, but I’m eager to consider my other possibilities.” Suh excluding the Buccaneers is hardly shocking given that the team acquired veteran Akiem Hicks on May 31. Suh signed one-year contracts while in Tampa for the previous three seasons. With the Bucs in the 2020 season, the seasoned player earned his first Super Bowl ring. Suh hasn’t been able to put out a strong performance in the 2021 season and may have trouble locating a team that will welcome him back.
