Oklahoma City Thunder at Indiana Pacers ATS Odds

In their last contest, the Pacers (4.5-point underdogs) covered in a 109-102 victory over the Orlando Magic. The Thunder were defeated by the Milwaukee Bucks, 121-119, but did cover as 9-point underdogs. Both games finished over their projected point totals. The Indiana game went 8.5 points over the projected point total of 202.5, while the Oklahoma City game finished 20.5 points over the projected point total of 219.5.

Indiana dominated nearly every facet of the contest. They had an offensive rebounding percentage of 26.8 (above their season average of 23.1) and a turnover percentage of 8.7 (better than their season average of 11.8). For those same stats, Orlando was 17.5 and 9.8, respectively. Oklahoma City, meanwhile, forced Milwaukee into a turnover percentage of 19.5 (above their season average of 11.7). Domantas Sabonis had a good outing for Indiana with 21 points, 16 rebounds and seven assists. Meanwhile, Oklahoma City rallied around Dennis Schroder, who contributed 25 points, six rebounds and five assists.

This was a highly contested series last year. Each won one of the two games played against each other last season. In the most recent game, the Thunder won 107-99. Oklahoma City’s free throw rate was their largest advantage over Indiana. The Thunder had a rate of 0.130, while the Pacers posted a mark of 0.065. This is the first time these teams will battle this year.

Games including the Thunder tend to finish under the O/U total (60.0 percent). Although Oklahoma City has a difficult time winning games straight up (4-6 SU), they have an excellent 6-4 record against the spread (ATS).

It’s tough to find a trend for games including the Pacers in regards to the total, as there has been an even split between games finishing over and under. Indiana has a solid 6-4 SU record, but they are just 4-4-2 ATS.

The Thunder’s Chris Paul has been playing well over his last five games, averaging 18 points,6.8 assists,2.4 steals per game. Meanwhile, T.J. Warren has averaged 20 points during that same time frame for the Pacers.

Half-court execution will be critical when a pair of the league’s slowest-paced teams battle. Indiana ranks 26th in possessions per game (101.5) and Oklahoma City is 23rd (102.2).
