Since last season, the Aggies rank 31st in offensive efficiency, while the Lobos are 141st in defensive efficiency. The Aggies should have the advantage on that end of the court. The Lobos have had a respectable 19-14 straight up (SU) record since last season, but have struggled covering the spread (12-17 against the spread (ATS)). Vegas has had a tendency to place the total high when New Mexico is involved since last season as 62.1 percent of their games have gone under the projected point total. Meanwhile, the Aggies, are 29-6 SU and 3-3 ATS since last season. New Mexico States games have had no tendency in regards to the O/U total over that same stretch as there has been an even split between games finishing over and under. Each team won one of the two games played against each other last season. In the last contest, the Aggies won 84-71. The Aggies played a nearly perfect game.
