Brooklyn Nets vs. Memphis Grizzlies ATS Odds

Neither team was able to cover in their last contest. The Nets (8-point favorites) defeated the New York Knicks, 113-109, while the Grizzlies (2-point underdogs) were defeated by the Chicago Bulls, 110-102. The Brooklyn game finished 7 points under the projected point total of 229, while the Memphis game finished 12 points under the projected point total of 224.

Brooklyn dominated nearly every stat category in the game. They had a solid free throw rate of 0.295 and an offensive rebounding percentage of 26.8. New York recorded marks of 0.198 and 20.5, respectively, for those same stats. Memphis, meanwhile, had a much better offensive rebounding percentage (29.4 vs. 18.0). Jaren Jackson Jr. had a good outing for Memphis, putting up 23 points and 11 rebounds. Meanwhile, Kyrie Irving played a key role for Brooklyn with 26 points and five assists.

The Nets have had records of 43-41 straight up (SU) and 46-37-1 against the spread (ATS) since last season. A little over half of Brooklyn games have finished under the O/U total since last season.

On the other hand, the Grizzlies, are 33-51 SU and 35-46-3 ATS since last season. Just over half of Memphis’ games have finished under the O/U total over that same stretch.

This has potential to be a mistake-prone game for the offense of Brooklyn. Since last season, Brooklyn ranks 24th in the NBA in ball protection (turnover percentage of 13.9 percent), while the ball-hawking defense of Memphis has forced the fourth-most turnovers in the league (14.7 percent).
