Air Force Falcons at Colorado Buffaloes Betting Preview

The last time the Falcons played, they fell to the Pacific Tigers, 83-71. Lavelle Scottie put together a good performance for Air Force, leading the team in scoring with 15 points on 6-for-11 shooting. Pacific did a great job of converting from the free throw line (26-36; 72.2 percent). Air Force, on the other hand, forced the Tigers into a turnover percentage of 19.3 (above their season average of 15.1). The Buffaloes will look to keep it rolling after topping the Mercer Bears in their last contest, 79-70. With 25 points on 9-for-13 shooting, George King was the games high scorer. Colorado played a nearly flawless game. They had an extraordinary free throw rate of 0.460 (above their season average of 0.266) and an offensive rebounding percentage of 36.7 (above their season average of 29.8). For those same stats, Mercer put up marks of 0.214 and 32.3, respectively. The productive offense of Colorado will go head-to-head against the mid-tier defense of Air Force. Dating back to the 2016-17 season, the Buffaloes rank 85th in offensive efficiency, while the Falcons are 271st in defensive efficiency. The Buffaloes should have the edge on that end of the court. The Falcons have had records of 15-22 straight up (SU) and 14-14-1 against the spread (ATS) since last season. Air Force games have had a slight tendency to finish under the projected point total since last season (51.7 percent). The Buffaloes have had a respectable 24-14 SU record since last season, but have had difficulty covering the spread (15-23 ATS). Vegas has been fairly accurate when predicting totals of Colorado games over that same time frame with 20 unders compared to 18 overs. The Buffaloes won the sole game against the Falcons last season, 75-68. Colorados effective field goal percentage was its largest advantage over Air Force. The Buffaloes had a rate of 0.640 while the Falcons posted a mark of 0.426.
