Police in Washington, DC, make an arrest in relation to the shooting of Brian Robinson

The shooting of Commanders rookie running back Brian Robinson in August led to an arrest, the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Police Department reported on Wednesday. On August 28, Robinson was the target of an attempted carjacking or robbery in Washington, D.C. He was shot twice. A 17-year-old male juvenile who was 16 at the time of the act was charged with assault with the purpose to commit robbery while carrying a firearm, according to police reports released on Wednesday. According to police, the situation is still being investigated. Robinson, an Alabama University graduate who was selected in the third round of the 2022 selection, was lucky in that the two bullets that passed through his knee missed all the vital organs and did not cause severe injury. Following the incident, Robinson underwent surgery, and from the start of the 2022 regular season until early October, he was placed on the team’s reserve/non-football injury list. On October 9, he played in his first NFL game against the Titans. In four games, Robinson has run for 175 yards and one score.
