Davante Adams, a wide receiver with the Las Vegas Raiders, has reportedly been charged for breaking a local law, according to a public information officer for the Kansas City Municipal Court. Following the Raiders’ loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday, Adams assaulted a credentialed photographer, causing him to fall to the ground. This infraction occurred two days later. The update from Wednesday afternoon explains a previous statement made by the Kansas City Police Department that Adams had been charged with misdemeanor assault. The citation claims that Adams pushed the worker to the ground with two hands, “producing whiplash and headache” and maybe a concussion, and “did, by a deliberate, overt conduct, inflict bodily damage or produce an illegal offensive contact.” A hearing was scheduled for November 10 at 1:30 PM CT. On Monday evening, Adams shoved the guy as they were moving away from GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium toward the tunnel. The victim then fell to the ground. The person reported the incident to the Kansas City Police Department after it occurred.
