The Cleveland Browns revealed Tuesday that defensive end Myles Garrett, a three-time Pro Bowl selection, had several lacerations, shoulder and biceps strains, and other injuries in a one-car collision on Monday. Garrett received more testing on Tuesday after being discharged from a nearby hospital late on Monday night, but it is still unknown when he will be able to play football again. No public remarks concerning the situation were made by the team.
The Browns issued a statement on Tuesday in which they stated, “First and foremost, we are glad that Myles, his passenger, and no other parties were gravely hurt in the single-car accident yesterday. Myles suffers minor lacerations, a shoulder sprain, biceps strain, bumps and bruises to different body parts, according to our team’s specialists at University Hospitals after today’s medical assessment. The team physicians will assess his readiness for Sunday’s game in Atlanta during the week, though we expect to get him back soon.”
