Denver Broncos Betting
It was another bad ending to an otherwise great season for Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning last year as they were blown out in the Super Bowl by the Seattle Seahawks. Manning triggered his second consecutive 13-3 season as the Denver Broncos signal caller but he and his Denver teammates have yet to win the big game.
Anything less than a Super Bowl win will be considered a disappointment for this team in 2014.
2014 Denver Broncos Super Bowl Odds: 5-1
2014 Season Win Total: 11.5 (under -115)
2014 Denver Broncos Offense: The Denver Broncos were virtually unstoppable on offense a year ago and they should be very good again this season. Peyton Manning put up fantastic numbers a year ago and even though he is nearing the end of his career he is still a great quarterback. He did lose Eric Decker but Decker was overrated anyway and Emmanuel Sanders will be even better. And Manning still has one of the best wide receivers in the game in Demaryius Thomas and a very good tight end in Julius Thomas. The team will miss Knowshon Moreno so it will be up to Montee Ball to play well. The offensive line should be improved with a healthy Ryan Clady.
2014 Denver Broncos Defense: The Denver Broncos defense did lose Champ Bailey, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Shaun Phillips but they don’t figure to miss any of them. They added Aqib Talib in free agency and they picked up Bradley Roby in the NFL Draft. They also added T.J. Ward who they got from Cleveland. The team should be very good up front again with the addition of DeMarcus Ware who they got in free agency. Ware’s addition should take the pressure off of Von Miller.
Denver Broncos Additions: The team added WR Emmanuel Sanders, C Will Montgomery, DE DeMarcus Ware, CB Aqib Talib and S T.J. Ward. They took CB Bradley Roby, WR Cody Latimer, OT Michael Schofield and LB Lamin Barrow in the draft.
Denver Broncos Offseason Losses: The team lost RB Knowshon Moreno, WR Eric Decker, G Zane Beadles, DE Robert Ayers, DE Shaun Phillips, DE Jeremy Mincey, OLB Wesley Woodyard, CB Champ Bailey, CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and S Mike Adams.

Still the Chalk: The Broncos will be the team to beat in the AFC West as the upstart Kansas City Chiefs may take a step back after taking advantage of a soft schedule in 2013 while the San Diego Chargers may be solid, but unproven as an elite team and the Oakland Raiders are perpetually hopeless. Plus, keep in mind that Manning’s strength is in the regular season where he is MVP material.
By the Numbers: The Denver Broncos have won 11 out of their last 20 games against the spread as a favorite with 7 out of their last 11 games as chalks going under the total. The Broncos have failed to get the money in 5 out of their last 7 games as dogs with 7 out of their last 8 games as a pup going over the total.
