Winnipeg Jets at Arizona Coyotes Odds

With a -125 moneyline, Winnipeg heads into the game as the favorite. The line for Arizona sits at +105, and the Over/Under (O/U) is set at 6 goals. The odds for betting the total sit at -105 for the over and -115 on the under. Winnipeg is 8-6 straight up (SU) and has earned moneyline bettors 2.3 units this season. Through 14 regular season matches, nine of its games have gone over the total, while five have gone under and none have pushed. As the road team in 2017-18, the Jets are 4-3 SU. The Jets have impressively found the net on 23.9 percent of their power play opportunities so far. That’s a good improvement from last season, when they were ranked 17th in the NHL by scoring on 18.2 percent of their extra-man chances. Their penalty kill has weakened a bit since last year, however, as they’ve gone from successfully defending 77.5 percent of opponents’ power plays (ranked 26th overall last year) to 76.5 percent this year. For the team as a whole, the Jets have been penalized 4.4 times per game in the 2017-18 season. Last year, that number was the fifth-highest mark in the league at 4.3 penalties per game. The team served an average of 10.2 penalty minutes per game last year and is right around that same amount this season. With a .936 save percentage and 29.1 saves per game, Connor Hellebuyck (8-3-2) has been the primary option in goal for Winnipeg this year. If it chooses to give him a rest, however, the team could turn to Steve Mason (0-4-1 record, .872 save percentage, 4.84 goals against average). Blake Wheeler and Mark Scheifele will both lead the way for the visiting Jets. Wheeler has 21 points on five goals and 16 assists, and has recorded two or more points in five different games. Scheifele has nine goals and nine assists to his credit (and has registered a point in eight games). On the other bench, Arizona is 2-16 straight up (SU) and has already lost 14.4 units for moneyline bettors this year. Through 18 regular season outings, 11 of its games have gone over the total, while six have gone under and just one has pushed. This season, the team’s 1-6 SU as the home team. The Coyotes have converted on just 15.5 percent of their power play chances this year, a figure that places them in the bottom 10 overall among NHL teams. On the other hand, its penalty kill is ranked 26th overall, and it’s successfully killed off 76.5 percent of all penalties. Arizona skaters have been penalized only 3.3 times per game in total this season, and 4.2 per game over their last five outings. The team’s had to kill penalties just 7.4 minutes per game over their last 10 outings. Antti Raanta has stopped 26.1 shots per game as the top selection in goal for the Coyotes. Raanta has one win, six losses, and two OT losses to his name and has registered a .920 save percentage and 2.87 goals against average this season. Clayton Keller (11 goals, six assists) will lead the attack for the Coyotes.
