In order to bolster their offensive line, the New York Jets are attempting to sign a veteran free agent. Duane Brown, a lineman in the Pro Bowl, will pay the Jets a visit on Saturday, according to NFL Network Insider. Brown, 36, was in Seattle for the last four and a half seasons and is currently the best offensive tackle available. Brown, a first-round selection of the Texans in 2008, has played in five Pro Bowls, most recently last season, and was named to the first team of the All-Pro in 2012. In 2021, Brown started each of the Seahawks’ 17 games, but Charles Cross was chosen in the first round to take his position. After Kwon Alexander joined Gang Green on July 29, Brown would be the second well-known veteran to sign with the Jets in the previous two weeks if he moves to New York. Early in July, Brown was detained at the Los Angeles International Airport when it was claimed he had a hidden weapon in his luggage. The Jets appear to be doing everything they can to improve their offensive line.
