Wimbledon Odds: Serena Williams is the favorite to win Wimbledon which begins on Monday, June 27th. Serena is the defending champion and has won Wimbledon six times in her career but she has won just one tournament since last September and she lost in the finals of the Australian Open and French Open. Serena is listed as the 8-5 favorite with Garbine Muguruza and Petra Kvitova the co-second choices in the betting at 6-1.

Here is a look at Wimbledon odds and Wimbledon predictions.

    Serena Williams 8-5

    Garbine Muguruza 6-1

    Petra Kvitova 6-1

    Madison Keys 13-1

    Victoria Azarenka 15-1

    Angelique Kerber 20-1

    Simona Halep 22-1

    Agnieszka Radwanska 23-1

    Belinda Bencic 38-1

    Sloane Stephens 44-1

    Karolina Pliskova 45-1

All of the other players are listed with odds of 50-1 or more or they are part of the field.

    Serena Williams 8-5

The favorite to win Wimbledon is Serena and she is the defending champion and has won the tournament six times but there are reasons to bet against her. She has won only one tournament this year and was beaten by Garbine Muguruza in the final of the French Open. Serena has won 21 Grand Slam singles titles in her career but her last Grand Slam title was at last year’s Wimbledon.

    Garbine Muguruza 6-1

The second seed at Wimbledon is Muguruza who beat Serena at the French. She did lose to Serena in last year’s Wimbledon final but has improved since that time. The concern in backing Muguruza is that she still has moments where she struggles as was in evidence at the Mallorca Open where she lost in the second round. It is also very difficult for any player to win the French Open and Wimbledon in the same season.

    Petra Kvitova 6-1

The oddsmakers like the chances of Kvitova as he is the co-second choice at odds of 6-1. She is not getting the same respect from Wimbledon as they have her seeded 11th. Kvitova has won Wimbledon twice in her career as she won in 2011 and 2014. The concern in backing Kvitova is that she hasn’t played well this season.

    Madison Keys 13-1

This might be the year for Madison Keys who is ranked in the Top 10 for the first time in her career. She won the Aegon Classic in Birmingham and she is proving that she is on the way up in the women’s game. She plays her best on the grass and could be a live longshot to win Wimbledon.

    Others to Consider

The third ranked player in the world is Agnieszka Radwanska who reached the final at Wimbledon four years ago. She hasn’t been able to take the big step and win a Grand Slam but perhaps this is the year. Angelique Kerber is ranked fourth in the world and she won the Australian Open earlier this season. The problem with Kerber is current form as she has lost in the first round of five tournaments this year.
