Soccer Betting: We are down to the final eight fixtures of the 2014-15 Serie A campaign and, outside of Juventus in the top spot, clubs are exchanging positions all throughout the table. Lazio over took AS Roma for the second spot in the table last weekend with a resounding 4 - 0 win over Empoli, while Roma continued to settle for a draw.

Lazio and Juventus face off in the featured match of Round 31 this weekend, with a battle of the top two clubs in the league taking place at Juventus Stadium. Lazio might not just be the hottest club in Italy, but it would be hard to find a club playing better in all of Europe.

Il Derby Della Madonnina is also taking place at the San Siro, with AC Milan and Inter Milan playing their second match of the year. It is strange to not see that as the highlighted match of the weekend, since it has almost always been seen as the biggest match for so many years.

Napoli has climbed back into the European discussion, and they responded to their president barnstorming the locker room and drilling the club for inconsistency after their Coppa Italia loss. They come off a 3 - 0 win over Fiorentina, who also got knocked out of the Coppa Italia last week.

So much to discuss on the Italian pitch, so let's get to it!

    Saturday, April 18- 2 Matches

    Featured Match Lazio vs Juventus

    3-Way 1x2 Lines:

    Lazio +340

    Juventus -110

    Draw +240

    Lazio +0.5 -110

    Juventus -0.5 -110

    Total 2.5:

    Over +100

    Under -120

    Analysis and Prediction:

Lazio heads to Juventus Stadium healthy, hot, and now in second place in the table, which now puts a ton of emphasis on this match.

Lazio is likely the last club standing between Juventus and the clinching of their fourth straight Scudetto title, and they happen to catch Juventus after playing a tough match against Monaco in Champions League this week.

This is also a preview of the Coppa Italia final that will be played onJune 7thin Rome at Stadio Olimpico, which will give Lazio the home pitch advantage, of course. Until we get there, this match will have all eyes on it around Italy, even with Il Derby Della Madonnina at the San Siro going on this weekend, which has obviously lost its appeal this year.

This match also has the potential to be the match of the year, and we expect it to be wide open and full of goal scoring, even with Buffon back in net for Juve and how well Lazio has played defensively as well lately. Keep in mind, these two have combined for 115 goals scored this year, and we can't let that go unnoticed.

Give us the Over in this one at -110 on the 2.5, and let's see if we get the match we expect to see between these two this weekend.

    Cesena vs Sampdoria

    3-Way: 1: Cesena +625 Away ; X: +290 Draw ; 2: Sampdoria -185 Home

    Spread: Cesena +1 -115 ; Sampdoria -1 -105

    Total 2.5: Over +115 ; Under -135

Bet on the Serie A at BetDSI

    Analysis and Prediction:

Even though Sampdoria is officially the 5th best home team in Serie A, they are still the only other club besides Juventus to have not suffered a loss at home the entire campaign thus far.

Cesena came up from Serie B this year, and found out how hard it is to win away from home, having one win to show for 14 road matches, so it is obvious to see the discrepancy between the two clubs when it comes to home and road records.

We highly doubt any of that will change this weekend, so the -1 on Sampdoria goes on the board, expecting the home side to win this by at least the goal that would push the ticket, so we just have to hope they find that second tally to cash the -105 ticket.

    Sunday, April 19- 7 Matches

    Atalanta vs AS Roma

    3-Way: 1: Atalanta +800 Away ; X: +350 Draw ; 2: Roma -245 Home

    Spread: Atalanta +1 +120 ; Roma -1 -140

    Total 2.5: Over -115 ; Under -105

    Analysis and Prediction:

Imagine expecting goals in this one? We certainly don't, and there is nothing to over analyze in this one.Let's not even get into the fact that the Roma fans have been banned from attending the match, and now the fans are boycotting the match this weekend. My goodness, the state of Serie A this year has made news for all the wrong reasons this year.

Anyway, as far as the match could go, Gervinho is arguably the biggest threat that Roma has, and he is not going to be anywhere near the pitch. Of course, we also know that Francesco Totti hasn't even come close to playing anymore either.

This Under will be our easiest recommendation of the weekend, and there is not much wrong with the +1 on Atalanta at +120 either.

We know Roma is in no way going to beat anyone by two goals, because they can't score two goals to do it, so the Under 2.5 and Atalanta +1 should both be considered for your action this weekend in what could be an empty building and so much conflict surrounding the match.

    Udinese vs Chievo Verona

    3-Way: 1: Udinese +260 Away ; X: +220 Draw ; 2: Chievo +120 Home

    Spread: Udinese +0.5 -140 ; Chievo -0.5 +120

    Total 2: Over -115 ; Under -105

    Analysis and Prediction:

Another match where it is going to be hard to find goals, especially with DiNatale likely out for Udinese again, takes place at Bentagodi.

This Under 2 is sitting there for a reason, and the reason is that Chievo will likely win this game 1 - 0, or we will see a 0 - 0 draw, so feel free to grab the Under 2 at -105 here.

    Napoli vs Cagliari

    3-Way: 1: Napoli -110 Away ; X: +275 Draw ; 2: Caglairi +295 Home

    Spread: Napoli -0.5 -110 ; Cagliari +0.5 -110

    Total 3: Over +105 ; Under -125

Bet on the Serie A at BetDSI

    Analysis and Prediction:

How many goals can we expect in this match? Cagliari is giving up nearly two goals a match this season, and Napoli got a scolding from their president that seemed to work, as we saw last weekend in their 3 - 0 win over Fiorentina.

This Over 3 is lovely at +105, and there is no chance we are leaving the Cagliari Overs alone down the stretch of the campaign, knowing that they need to fight like a mule to get out of relegation, which likely won't happen anyway.

    Parma vs Empoli

    3-Way: 1: Parma +550 Away ; X: +275 Draw ; 2: Empoli -165 Home

    Spread: Parma +1 -135 ; Empoli -1 +115

    Total 2.5: Over +110 ; Under -130

    Analysis and Prediction:

All of this talk from so many outlets about the quality that Empoli has, and yet here they are at 15th in the table, getting devoured by both Juventus and Lazio the last two times out. We certainly didn't mind it last weekend, when we suggested Lazio at -1 to easily get by this Empoli club, and that's exactly what we saw in a 4 - 0 beat down.

We also enjoyed the play on Parma against Juventus last weekend, taking the handicap +1.5 and watching them win outright, as Juventus rested anyone and everyone to prepare for the Champions League match with Monaco.

Parma has been playing well overall lately, although all this make up football they have been playing is starting to catch up with them. They had another makeup gamethis Wednesdaywith Genoa, and ended up losing 2 - 0.

We are going to suggest this Over 2.5 at +110, not simply because the price is nice, but Empoli can score against poor defensive clubs, and Parma is certainly at least playing like an actual football club lately.

    AC Milan vs Inter Milan

    3-Way: 1: Milan +240 Away ; X: +240 Draw ; 2: Inter +120 Home

    Spread: Milan +0.5 -140 ; Inter -0.5 -140

    Total 2.5: Over -110 ; Under -110

    Analysis and Prediction:

Il Derby Della Madonnina! Can you believe that we have gotten to the point where this isn't even close to being our featured match of the weekend?

The two sit in 9th and 10th position in the table, only separated by a single point, and each has had campaigns that have no one wanting to remember the 2014-15 season.

So how do we put an expectation on this match, knowing the two have underachieved to say the least?

The line setters certainly see Inter as the better side, and it is hard to watch Milan sometimes, as we see a lot of walking around, and simply no motivation at times, which we saw plenty in the 1 - 1 match last weekend with Sampdoria. How they got that draw is still beyond us.

We are going to hope another San Siro Over takes place in this one, and we see a 2 - 1 match between the two clubs who don't exactly love each other, and should at least be motivated for this one.

Amazingly, we are hearing that Inzaghi might be returning to the club next year as manager, and that might not sit so well with their fans, but that's a different story altogether.

    Genoa vs Palermo

    3-Way: 1: Genoa +265 Away ; X: +235 Draw ; 2: Palermo +115 Home

    Spread: Genoa +0.5 -135 ; Palermo -0.5 +115

    Total 2: Over +110 ; Under -130

Bet on the Serie A at BetDSI

    Analysis and Prediction:

Lamanna is still between the pipes for Genoa, with Mattia Perin still likely out of the mix again with the shoulder injury, as we saw him out against Parma in the mid-week match. He has certainly not hurt the club in his stead so far, and Genoa has actually arguably looked better without Perin, which is hard to imagine since he is the supposed heir apparent to Gigi Buffon for the Italian national team.

It is what it is though, and let's also face the fact that the two wins they just found were against Cagliari and Parma, so we can't get too carried away thinking it is all because of Lamanna in net. Palermo picked up their second away win of the year last weekend, walking in to Udinese and pouring in three goals.

Let's see if that carries over, and we can catch these two scoring against each other to cash the Over 2 at +110, and even if it is 1 - 1, it won't hurt the bankroll a bit with the push on the action.

    Torino vs Sassuolo

    3-Way: 1: Torino +135 Away ; X: +220 Draw ; 2: Sassuolo +230 Home

Spread: Torino Pk -150 ; Sassuolo Pk +130

    Total 2: Over -145 ; Under +125

    Analysis and Prediction:

Two? Does that say two on the total? Oh no sir, you can just move this right to the Over 2 and 2.5 handicap and get close to even money on that action, because these two are going to have a festival against each other. Remember, we saw much different circumstances in the first meeting these two had in the front portion of the campaign, as Torino couldn't score on an empty pitch at that point. In fact, let's bring you a quote from their first meeting we gave for that match.

"This is a 0 - 0 halftime - 1 - 0 or 1 - 1 type of match from my viewpoint." Guess what? It was 0 - 0 until the 87th minute and you can't get much more spot on than that. Now we turn the table and go with the Over 2 and 2.5 handicap at -105, because we know things that others don't!

    Monday, April 20- 1 Match

    Hellas Verona vs Fiorentina

    3-Way: 1: Verona +555 Away ; X: +355 Draw ; 2: Fiorentina -200 Home

    Spread: Verona +1 +110 ; Fiorentina -1 -130

    Total 3: Over +100 ; Under -120

    Analysis and Prediction:

Oh we all know why this total is sitting at a straight 3, and that is because Verona couldn't stop a beach ball from finding its way to the net. Now they get to face a pissed off Fiorentina club who just got knocked out of the Italian Cup, and also come off a 3 - 0 embarrassment at Napoli last week to boot.

Let's see if they don't take out some of that frustration on Verona at home, and hope we can finish the round with a nice cashed ticket on the Over 3 at Artemio Franchi.
