Soccer Betting: Round 15 of the Italian Serie A campaign kicks off with only three weekends left before the holiday break, and it all starts with theFriday match at Stadio Olimpico between Lazio and Juventus. Lazio find themselves barely hanging around the upper portion of the table, holding on to the tenth spot trying to snap a 5-game slide without a win under their belts.

Our featured match of the weekend comes in Turin, as Torino play host to AS Roma. Roma has started a slow descent down the table while earning only one win in their last four outings in league play. Roma will also be facing a big opportunity to advance to the Champions League knockout phase, as they play their final group stage match onDecember 9.

Inter Milan will also be in actionon Saturday, hosting Genoa at the San Siro, while trying to get back to the top of the table after their 2 - 1 loss to Napoli last weekend.

Seven matches make up theSundayslate that wraps up the round, so let's take it to the pitch and see what we can expect this weekend.

    Friday December 4- 1 Match

    Lazio vs Juventus

    3-Way: 1: Lazio +270 Home ; X: +225 Draw ; 2: Juventus +115 Away

    Spread: Lazio +0.5 -135 ; Juventus -0.5 +115

    Total 2: Over -140 ; Under +120

    Analysis and Prediction:

Well, we can safely say that Lazio is struggling at this point of the campaign, coming off another road loss that has led to a 10th place position in the Serie A table.

The loss to Empoli last weekend came as no surprise to us here at BetDSI, as Lazio were unable to string any type of offense together in their 1 - 0 loss, although the stats might not reveal the true story. Lazio won almost every statistic from time of possession, to shots on goal and held Empoli to one shot on goal. Unfortunately for the capital club, the lone shot provided the only goal of the match for Empoli.

Juventus, on the other hand, put all those early struggles to the beginning of the campaign behind them. The four-time defending Serie A title holders have only lost two of their last 17 contests in all competitions, and have also guaranteed a path to the Champions League knockout round.

Juventus does not make it any easier when you are struggling to score like Lazio is at the moment, so we have to suggest the +115 offer on the 3-Way line with the away side in this match. Lazio simply do not have the ability to surprise any of us, even if they have the crowd support at Stadio Olimpico.

Lazio are also going to be without Bosnian winger Senad Lulic, who was brought off the practice field this week with a horrific hand injury that needed immediate surgery to repair.

    Analysis and Prediction:

It may be a little surprising to see this match as the featured contest of round 15, but, in all honesty, it is the only matchup between two clubs in the upper portion of the table.

Torino is looking to keep a third consecutive clean sheet while hoping to also extend their win streak to three games. Atalanta and Bologna were each unable to break down the Torino defense in the least, as they each combined to only put a single shot on goal against the Maroons.

AS Roma is still dealing with the mysterious absence of Francesco Totti, who has not competed for quite some time. Gervinho and Maicon have joined Mohamed Salah on the injury/suspension report, which obviously leaves a hole in the Roma attack.

Despite Roma still leading all of Serie A with 29 goals scored, their offensive output has not been as successful lately. They have been held to two clean sheets in their last four outings, and came out flat against Atalanta last weekend, losing 2 - 0 in a crazy game that offered three red cards and seven yellow cards.

We offer up the Under 2.5 in this match, hopeful to enjoy the +135 on the action.

    Inter Milan vs Genoa

    3-Way: 1: Inter -155 Home ; X: +290 Draw ; 2: Genoa +475 Away

    Spread: Inter -0.5 -155 ; Genoa +0.5 +135

    Total 2.5: Over -110 ; Under -110

    Analysis and Prediction:

For anyone who caught the Napoli vs Inter Milan match on beINsports, it was actually surprising that Inter Milan only lost 2 - 1, after how bad their defense looked out of the gate.

Napoli scored early to make it 1 - 0 and you could see within the tenth minute of the match that they were inevitably going to allow another goal at some point. It took some time, but Napoli did indeed find that second goal which now has them sitting at the top of the table by a point over Inter.

    Genoa is....well, Genoa!

Even with the return of Mattia Perin, the Genoa defense has actually gotten worse since he came back from injury, instead of providing the expected boost he was thought to be able to do.

At -110, this Over 2.5 is certainly making our board this weekend, because we could surely see the three goals we need to cash this ticket out by halftime

    Sunday December 6 - 7Matches

    Bologna vs Napoli

    3-Way: 1: Bologna +650 Home ; X: +325 Draw ; 2: Napoli -205 Away

    Spread: Bologna +1 +110 ; Napoli -1 -130

    Total 2.5: Over -115 ; Under -105

    Analysis and Prediction:

Bologna finally showed us some signs of life recently after a miserable start to the campaign, but after three straight matches with a result, they came away with a 2 - 0 loss to Torino last weekend.

We can only say it so many times, but the fact still remains that if you do not put any shots on goal, you have a zero chance to score, other than some fluke type of own goal of course.

Now Bologna has the assignment of taking on the table leaders, who are coming off a nice 2 - 1 win over Inter Milan that could have been much worse had Napoli straightened out a few of their chances.

Napoli has a Europe League match coming upon Thursday, but there is nothing to play for other than a perfect 6 - 0 record in group stage. Napoli has won all five of their group stage affairs, and has already ensured their progress to the round of 32. The draw will be announced on December 14.

We see a Napoli 2 - 0 win taking place here, so we offer the Under 2.5 at -105.

    Atalanta vs Palermo

    3-Way: 1: Atalanta -115 Home ; X: +250 Draw ; 2: Palermo +355 Away

    Spread: Atalanta -0.5 -115 ; Palermo +0.5 -105

    Total 2.5: Over +115 ; Under -135

Bet on The Serie A at BetDSI

    Analysis and Prediction:

Palermo might be a club that will be facing demotion back to Serie B if they don't start producing positive results.

It got even worse for Palermo this past week, after losing 3 - 2 at home to Lega Pro club Alessandria in the Coppa Italia.

Atalanta were held scoreless in three straight outings before their 2 - 0 win over Roma last weekend, and also lost their Coppa Italia affair to Udinese this week.

We see this match working out to a 1 - 1 draw, and at -135 the Under holds no value, so we suggest a play on the +250 Draw call in this match.

    Fiorentina vs Udinese

    3-Way: 1: Fiorentina -180 Home ; X: +325 Draw ; 2: Udinese +530 Away

    Spread: Fiorentina -1 -110 ; Udinese +1 -110

    Total 2.5: Over -120 ; Under +100

    Analysis and Prediction:

Udinese has suddenly found their groove, not only riding a two-match win streak in Serie A, but also advancing to the round of 16 in the Coppa Italia this week with their 3 - 1 win over Atalanta.

It comes just in time, as Udinese would be sitting back in the 18th position of the table, had they been unable to take six points from their last two outings.

Fiorentina sit in the third position of the table, and has a big match coming upon Thursdayin their Europa League affair. The Viola are in group I, and are three points behind Basel, and have a two-point lead over both Belenenses and Lech Poznan. Their final group stage match with Belenenses will likely decide which club joins Basel to advance to the round of 32.

The way these two are both playing lately, we see this as an opportunity to cash a ticket on the total, as we suggest the Over 2.5 at -120.

    Frosinone vs Chievo Verona

    3-Way: 1: Frosinone +220 Home ; X: +220 Draw ; 2: Chievo +140 Away

Spread: Frosinone Pk +125 ; Chievo Pk -145

    Total 2: Over -145 ; Under +125

    Analysis and Prediction:

It is amazing to think that after the start Chievo Verona had to the campaign, it has almost completely evaporated.

Chievo has only a two-point lead on Frosinone, and when you think about what Frosinone has been through this year struggling near the relegation zone for most of the campaign, this actually makes this an important match for both clubs.

We are simply offering this total, and suggesting the Over 2.5, moved up from the straight 2 that we see on the board. At +110, there is certainly reason to believe that we should see some balls in the back of each of their nets.

    Hellas Verona vs Empoli

    3-Way: 1: Verona +190 Home ; X: +215 Draw ; 2: Empoli +165 Away

Spread: Verona Pk -105 ; Empoli Pk -115

    Total 2: Over -145 ; Under +125

    Analysis and Prediction:

Hellas Verona is a complete mess, and there is no hope in sight whatsoever.

Oh wait, they finally fired Andrea Mandorlini and brought in Luigi Delneri this week, in hopes of turning around a dismal campaign that has Verona winless through the first 14 fixtures of the campaign.

Delneri was quoted as saying, “This team needs to find safety and serenity in football and now I give my body and soul for Verona because I want them to stay in Serie A for a long time.”

Pretty strong words, and it is refreshing to see a manager come out and say that he will do all he can to fix this situation in that fashion. His first match already provided a win, after Verona's 1 - 0 win in the Coppa Italiaon Wednesday, albeit coming against Lega Pro side Pavia, who are two tiers below Serie A.

No matter the competition, a win is a win, and when you are as desperate for results as this Verona club is, maybe things will start to turn in the right direction.

After two years away from the game, the 65-year-old Italian native has been coaching since 1985, and played for 18 years in Italy.

Until we see some more indications about the future from Verona, we offer the Empoli Pk action at -115. A win over Pavia is all well and good, but we need to see more to have a reason to back this Verona club.

    Sampdoria vs Sassuolo

    3-Way: 1: Sampdoria +145 Home ; X: +220 Draw ; 2: Sassuolo +210 Away

Spread: Sampdoria Pk -140 ; Sassuolo Pk +120

    Total 2.5: Over +110 ; Under -130

Bet on The Serie A at BetDSI

    Analysis and Prediction:

Sampdoria has one win in their last nine outings, and are coming off an embarrassing 4 - 1 thrashing at the hands of AC Milan last weekend.

Sassuolo gave away their Coppa Italia match to Serie B side Cagliarion Thursday, not willing to bother with the competition they have no chance of winning, while solely concentrating on the Serie A campaign this year.

At +220, we offer the Draw call in this affair, expecting a similar 1 - 1 result that we saw in the second meeting of last year's campaign, in which was saw two draws of 1 - 1 and 0 - 0.

    Carpi vs AC Milan

    3-Way: 1: Carpi +435 Home ; X: +250 Draw ; 2: Milan -130 Away

    Spread: Carpi +0.5 +110 ; Milan -0.5 -130

    Total 2: Over -150; Under +130

    Analysis and Prediction:

We end the round with a simple prediction on the total, and once again suggest a line movement.

At 2, there is no value obviously at -150, but an increase to the Over 2 and 2.5 handicap offer, we see a -105 on that action.

This is no less than a 2 - 1 match as we see it, but it is still good to utilize the handicap offer on the Over 2 and 2.5 just in case Milan doesn't take Carpi as seriously as they should, as the newly promoted side picked up their second win of the campaign last weekend.
