Soccer Betting: The tenth round of the Serie A campaign gets underway with a mid-week round of fixtures wrapped around two weekends, making the Italian pitch full of action. With three rounds of matches contested over a 10-day span, a new leader in the Italian top flight table rose from this past weekend’s results, as AS Roma continued finding the net and is now setting the pace.

La Maggica will be present in our featured match of the round at Stadio Olimpico vs Udinese, which is part of the eightWednesdaymatches being played amidst oneTuesdayand oneThursdayaffair. Even more to discuss is the four clubs tied on 18 points behind Roma's 20, which now has the capital club and Napoli in the top-two after Inter Milan and Fiorentina had those spots just two weekends ago.

Fiorentina surrendered their lead to Roma and is tied with Napoli as a result of two 2 - 1 losses to both clubs the last two rounds of play. The Viola face a three-match skid overall, combined with their Europa League loss sandwiched between the two league defeats.

Napoli extended their run to 11 straight outings with a result in all competitions this past weekend with their 1 - 0 win over Chievo, and has not lost a single outing since their opening day league loss to Sassuolo. Palermo will be making a visit to San Paolo in this round, so we will discuss more of that match later.

Let's see what we have going on in Italy with this mid-week round of action around the Italian pitch.

    Tuesday October 27- 1 Match

    Bologna vs Inter Milan

    3-Way: 1: Bologna +355 Home ; X: +250 Draw ; 2: Inter -115 Away

    Spread: Bologna +0.5 -105 ; Inter -0.5 -115

    Total 2.5: Over +115 ; Under -135

    Analysis and Prediction:

We will gladly remind you that we called the exact 1 - 1 score in the Inter Milan vs Palermo match this past weekend. I have that quote right here for you, "in then what we expect to be a 1 - 1 draw, play the Under 2.5 at -115, just in case they do get stuck at 1 - 1 leaving each club with a point." That point came for each club, and now Inter Milan has played to three straight draws in league play and find themselves as part of the four-way tie with Napoli, Fiorentina and Lazio with 18 points.

That 5 - 0 start has long been forgotten in Milan, as the Nerazzurri are 0 - 3 - 1 in their last four contests, but they did win an important match this past week.

Inter Milan participated and won the Trofeo Luigi Berlusconi against Rival AC Milan on October 20 at the San Siro, which is basically a match that is usually played between Juventus and AC Milan, for the most part.

Inter hasn't played in the attempted annual event since the second version in 1992. Juventus and Milan contested the event 18 consecutive times from 1995 - 2012, which is basically a friendly with a trophy in the grand scheme of Italian football.

Back to the match, however, and Bologna got by Carpi with a splendid extra-time goal from Adam Masina, in what looked like a sure 1 - 1 point for both sides as the referee put up four minutes of injury time on the 90.

Both clubs went for the extra two points in the last 15 minutes of up-and-down action, so it was only fitting the goal found the net in the 93rd to give Bologna their much-needed second win of the campaign.

At +115, we can see this also coming to a 2 - 1 decision that provides plenty of fireworks, that we hope turns into that fast paced match out of the gate.

The first half Over 1 is +110, and the full time total of 2.5 comes in at +115, both being the two suggested offers you should be opting for in this Tuesdayevening affair at Stadio Renato Dall'Ara.

Featured Match AS Roma vs Udinese

    3-Way 1x2 Lines:

    Roma -220

    Ude +600

    Draw +375

    Roma -1 -135

    Ude +1 +115

    Total 2.5:

    Over -140

    Under +120

    Analysis and Prediction:

Egyptian national Mohammed Salan got the visiting Roma supporters in Florence fired up early, with his 7' goal to give La Maggica 1 - 0 start against Fiorentina this weekend. The big story there, of course, is that Fiorentina owns the contract of Salah, but Salah stated he would rather be with Roma than play for them, and that naturally sparked a flare in the media.

Just after the half-hour mark, Gervinho threw his hat in the ring and got on the score sheet to make it 2 - 0, and Roma cruised to a 2 - 1 with the 94th-minute goal from the Viola that was too little, too late.

We can surmise that when Salas got sent off with a red card as regulation time was coming to a close, it came to the delight of the Viola brass, as any consolation to the defeat.

The three points vaulted the capital club to the top of the Serie A table, a place they had not seen for quite some time, despite the few second place finishes while Juventus was winning the last four campaigns.

Udinese found three points this past weekend as well, in their 1 - 0 victory over Serie A newcomers Frosinone at Stadio Friuli to stretch their points streak to four matches.

Greek national Orestis Karnezis wasn't really tested by the Frosinone attack, short of two shots on goal to maintain a clean sheet for the Bianconeri Friuliani. It was his first since the Udinese historic 1 - 0 opening campaign victory from Juventus in Turin, and second of the year overall.

Bet on the Serie A at BetDSI

Salah is doing all of this recent goal scoring without the benefit of Francesco Totti, who has been absent the last five Roma outings in both their European and domestic campaigns, and who is still questionable to return before their next Champions League outing.

Just move this total to the straight Over 3 and get well worth your money, even if we do see the 2 - 1 result that would only push the action. Nothing wrong with that +120 type of action by the line advancement on the 2.5.

    AC Milan vs Chievo Verona

    3-Way: 1: Milan -140 Home ; X: +275 Draw ; 2: Chievo +430 Away

    Spread: Milan -0.5 -140 ; Chievo +0.5 +120

    Total 2.5: Over +110 ; Under -130

    Analysis and Prediction:

More bad news out of Milan camp this week for Super Mario, who is still dealing with the nagging injury, and was upset about not being carried on the 18-man roster in the mid-week outing at the San Siro.

Milan found three points this past weekend against Sassuolo at the San Siro and hold just a small advantage over Chievo Verona in this building.

That small sarcastic number finds us asking you whether or not you remember when you were planning for the Christmas holiday in 2005?In the first meeting of the 2005/06 campaign, Chievo beat AC Milan in Verona 2 - 1, and it has now been 17 meetings since they have beaten AC Milan since. The stretch of not having a win at the San Siro itself stretches even further back than this century, so that will give you an idea of how poorly Chievo has played in Milan.

We all know there is nothing but inconsistency coming out of Milan the past two campaigns, so we see this +120 on the +0.5 handicap offer with Chievo, a sneaky way to take some action out of this match.

    Atalanta vs Lazio

    3-Way: 1: Atalanta +210 Home ; X: +235 Draw ; 2: Lazio +145 Away

Spread: Atalanta Pk +125 ; Lazio Pk -145

    Total 2.5: Over +100 ; Under -120

    Analysis and Prediction:

Have you been to our BetDSI Italian football preview area before?

Ole! Thanks for stopping by again, and we welcome any new members to the party as well.

To get you acclimated, we always have deep, dark discussions about Lazio on the road around here, because since Halloween is around the corner in the U.S., Lazio is simply scary when they leave Rome.

The capital club did repair much of their road issues to end last year's campaign, but this year, as was the case in the 2013/14 season, Lazio has dealt with many issues on the road.

Bet on the Serie A at BetDSI

Atalanta usually performs well at home, and despite the well-documented scoring issues the club has gone through over the last two or three campaigns, they usually find a way to find the net at least once at Atleti Azzurri d'Italia.

In all competitions including the Coppa Italia, Serie A play, and the pre-season friendly outings before the start of this year's Serie A season, Atalanta has scored in 23 of their 26 home outings.

At +125, we hope that with the fun we had to begin this match preview continues to see Lazio struggle away from Rome, and Atalanta continues to score at home, as we offer the Pk action on the home side.

    Frosinone vs Carpi

    3-Way: 1: Frosinone +140 Home ; X: +235 Draw ; 2: Carpi +210 Away

Spread: Frosinone Pk -145 ; Carpi Pk +125

    Total 2.5: Over +105 ; Under -125

    Analysis and Prediction:

We discussed the Carpi 2 - 1 loss to Bologna this past weekend, and we certainly felt it easy enough to push that Over 2 that was offered in the match. It only took two minutes into the second half to produce a 1 - 1 contest and we ended up cashing outright with the 93rd minute goal.

It's certainly fitting, and not all that ironic, that Carpi would be the club to surrender such a goal, being that the new additions to Serie A have struggled defensively all campaign.

The two clubs met twice in last year's Serie B campaign, and played to a scoreless draw in the first meeting, while Frosinone took their home outing with a 1 - 0 win in the second meeting.

The line setters expect that trend to continue, posting a -125 on the Under 2.5, but Carpi has given up 15 goals in only four away games played this year, and that does not bode well in respect to an Under play.

We offer the opposite attraction, and suggest you grab this Over 2.5 at +105, even if it does take until the 93rd minute as it did with Bologna and Carpion Saturday.

    Napoli vs Palermo

    3-Way: 1: Napoli -300 Home ; X: +460 Draw ; 2: Palermo +800 Away

    Spread: Napoli -1.5 -110 ; Palermo +1.5 -110

    Total 3: Over -105 ; Under -115

    Analysis and Prediction:

Palermo has not won at Napoli since the 1979 campaign, although the two did not meet once from 1979 to 2001.

Since that 2001 campaign when the two started facing each other again, Napoli has gone all 11 outings at home without a loss to Palermo.

Overall, Palermo has not won in their last 22 appearances at Napoli in either Serie A or Serie B, which dates back to the 1951 campaign.

Palermo has won a couple of Coppa Italia matches in Napoli over that span, but as far as league action goes, 64 years is a long time without a win.

As we mentioned in the intro, Napoli is the hottest club in the league, having gone 11 outings between Europe and Serie A without a loss.

Palermo took part in that 1 - 1 draw with Inter Milan we quoted from last weekend, and Gilardino's goal to level that match was simply about being in the right place at the right time. Off a corner kick, the ball came out to Franco Vazquez, who just directed a ball in to traffic and deflected off Gilardino's foot en route to the back of the net.

Napoli and Palermo should combine to at worst find those three goals that the line setters are asking us to offer at, so the Over 3 goes in the books at -105, and hopefully we find that fourth goal that cashes the ticket outright.

    Sassuolo vs Juventus

    3-Way: 1: Sassuolo +395 Home ; X: +260 Draw ; 2: Juventus -125 Away

    Spread: Sassuolo +0.5 +105 ; Juventus -0.5 -125

    Total 2.5: Over +110; Under -130

Bet on the Serie A at BetDSI

    Analysis and Prediction:

Juventus will be taking part in the derby of Turin this upcoming weekend, but we doubt that they are overlooking Sassuolo as the four-time Scudetto champs look to get back on track in league play.

A 2 - 0 win this past weekend helped Juve climb to 3 - 3 - 3 with 12 points alongside Chievo in the table, far from where they expect to be seen.

Sassuolo lost 2 - 1 to AC Milan this past weekend, although they had to play the last hour of the match down a man and a goal. Andrea Consigli was sent off the pitch with a straight red card in the 30th minute that led to an ensuing penalty kick conversion from Carlos Bacca. Domenico Berardi found the net to make it 1 - 1 in the 53rd minute for Sassuolo, but Adriano settled the score with a header off a redirected corner kick just four minutes from time.

Juventus should have some success against this Sassuolo back line, and we expect Sassuolo to score at home, especially if GiGi Buffon continues to be out for Juventus.

The Over 2.5 at +110 is our suggestion for this contest.

    Torino vs Genoa

    3-Way: 1: Torino-110 Home ; X: +245 Draw ; 2: Genoa +345 Away

    Spread: Torino -0.5 -110 ; Genoa +0.5 -110

    Total 2.5: Over +120 ; Under -140

    Analysis and Prediction:

The Genoa defense has not helped Mattia Perin's comeback in net, as each of Empoli's goals in the 2 - 0 loss for Genoa came from poor defensive plays.

Empoli found themselves breaking in alone on Perrin numerous times, and that score could have easily been 4 - 0 had Perin not been there.

Until Genoa improves on the back line, while Torino has not exactly been stout defensively of late either, we offer this Over 2.5 at a pretty delightful +120.

    Hellas Verona vs Fiorentina

    3-Way: 1: Verona +290 Home ; X: +255 Draw ; 2: Fiorentina +100 Away

    Spread: Verona +0.5 -120 ; Fiorentina -0.5 +100

    Total 2.5: Over -105 ; Under -115

Bet on the Serie A at BetDSI

    Analysis and Prediction:

Fiorentina is even money against Hellas Verona.

That is all we need to say about this contest, because Fiorentina should not simply be that cheap, whether they are away or not.

Take the 3-Way offer at +100 with the Viola.

    Thursday-October 29- 1 Match

    Sampdoria vs Empoli

    3-Way: 1: Sampdoria +120 Home ; X: +240 Draw ; 2: Empoli +240 Away

    Spread: Sampdoria -0.5 +120 ; Empoli +0.5 -140

    Total 2.5: Over +100 ; Under -120

    Analysis and Prediction:

Who is going to stop who in this contest?

Why the line setters are giving away this total is beyond us, because we surely see the three goals we will need to cash this Over 2.5.

At +100, these two clubs will have us on the edge of cashing this ticket when it is 1 - 1 at the half. Needing that final goal, we expect to get it within the first hour of the match, so splash the pot, and take this Over 2.5 at even money.
