Soccer Betting: With only one day off between rounds, there is no room to rest on the English pitch. We get right back to the action this weekend and, with the league being so busy, we can expect a few makeshift lineups for this round of matches.

Chelsea remained on top of the table with their third straight clean sheet over West Ham, who we expected to give Chelsea a bit more of a fight, but it never quite panned out. Once again, Chelsea will be our featured match of the round, traveling to Southampton, which is the only top 4 matchup of the weekend.

Tottenham hosts Manchester United with both clubs continuing to climb their way up the table.

Arsenal heads to West Ham with both clubs only being separated by one point in the 5th and 6th position.

We have more matches to come onJanuary 1, so let's see what we can expect this weekend and continue our '12 Days of English Football' theme.

    Sunday, December 28- 9 Matches

    Featured Match Chelsea vs Southampton

    3-Way 1x2 Lines:

    Chelsea -120

    Southampton +355

    Draw +260

    Chelsea -0.5 -120

    Southampton +0.5 +100

    Total 2.5:

    Over +115

    Under -135

    Analysis and Prediction:

If this match was at Chelsea, we would not be seeing such a lovely price of -120 just to see a club who is just not giving up a thing as of late. The Chelsea defense did a tremendous job keeping West Ham frustrated in the last round, as they didn't give up one chance on net.

Meanwhile, Southampton cruised to an easy victory against Crystal Palace, finding the net three times, so the question will be if whether they can find any success of their own at home against the Premier League class. We do expect the clean sheet run to end right here, as Southampton tends to find the net at home, but securing that result might be a different story.

We will recommend Chelsea on the 3-Way line at -120, but also will throw in the Over 2.5 at a more than reasonable +115.

    Manchester United vs Tottenham

    3-Way: 1: Man U +125 Away ; X: +250 Draw ; 2: Tottenham +220 Home

    Spread: Man U Pk -150 ; Tottenham Pk +130

    Total 2.5: Over -145 ; Under +125

    Analysis and Prediction:

Despite our featured match coming up in Southampton, this match could arguably be the best of the weekend as well.

It was good to see Wayne Rooney find a double against Newcastle, which he hadn't done in a while, and there are also so many threats that are all healthy now. Even if Man U rests a few of their starters, there is enough talent in place to expect 3 points from them. With that said, we will attack the +125 on the Man U 3-Way line.

    Sunderland vs Aston Villa

    3-Way: 1: Sunderland +240 Away ; X: +220 Draw ; 2: Aston Villa +130 Home

Spread: Sunderland Pk +140 ; Aston Villa Pk -160

    Total 2: Over -130 ; Under +110

Bet on English Premier League at BetDSI

    Analysis and Prediction:

Aston Villa has had Sunderland's number the past few years. In the last 6 meetings, Aston Villa has 3 wins and 3 draws in the series, and now they get to head home, where we last saw them draw with Man U. After their little stretch of losses, they have gotten back on track and have 5 points from their last 3 matches, so we expect that they can manage a home win vs. Sunderland. Aston VIlla at +130 to win outright goes on the board.

    Leicester vs Hull City

    3-Way: 1: Leicester +230 Away ; X: +230 Draw ; 2: Hull City +130 Home

Spread: Leicester Pk +135 ; Hull City Pk -155

    Total 2.5: Over +120 ; Under -140

    Analysis and Prediction:

What did we say last round? Leicester is on their way to second tier, and now they remain away from home. Even though Hull City has not had a spectacular campaign to say the least, they have to see the easy 3 points that come by facing Leicester. Amazingly enough however, we might also suggest this total to go Over the 2.5, not just out of fondness of the price of +120, but the fact that we are talking about two clubs who have combined to give up 56 goals on the campaign.

Hull City 3-Way at +130, and the Over 2.5 at +120 both have lovely value.

    Burnley vs Manchester City

    3-Way: 1: Burnley +1650 Away ; X: +725 Draw ; 2: Man City -625 Home

    Spread: Burnley +2 +115 ; Man City -2 -135

    Total 3: Over -140 ; Under +120

    Analysis and Prediction:

Naturally the line setters are not blind, and they juiced up this Total of 3 accordingly. Even the -2 on the Man City handicap has a -135 price to play, and that does not give us much room to find a play with value.

Burnley can hope to keep this a low-scoring close match, but it is highly unlikely that we will see that happen. The Man City -2 handicap at -135 is the only reasonable play we can make here, without getting hit with an overwhelming amount of juice attached to it.

    Crystal Palace vs Queens Park

    3-Way: 1: C. Palace +210 Away ; X: +230 Draw ; 2: QPR +140 Home

    Spread: C. Palace Pk +120 ; QPR Pk -140

    Total 2.5: Over +110 ; Under -130

Bet on English Premier League at BetDSI

    Analysis and Prediction:

This is one we feel the line setters overlooked. Why they would suspect the Under would be the play here is beyond us! We are looking for a 2 - 1 type of match to cash the Over 2.5 at +110, and with these two clubs not being able to stop anyone all campaign, there is no reason to expect a low-scoring type of match. Let's tackle this Over 2.5 here, at a lovely value price of +110.

    West Brom vs Stoke City

    3-Way: 1: West Brom +345 Away ; X: +240 Draw ; 2: Stoke City -110 Home

    Spread: West Brom +0.5 -110 ; Stoke City -0.5 -110

    Total 2.5: Over +125 ; Under -145

    Analysis and Prediction:

Stoke took advantage of a bad foul in the box and converted the penalty kick for the 3 points over Everton, but overall, that match was hard to watch. There were only a handful of shots that posed a threat, and Everton was the club that had most of those chances. Three points are three points though, so Stoke comes out of the mid-week fixtures heading home with a bit of confidence.

West Brom seems to give up multiple goals away from home more often than not, although the line setters in Europe tend to think that we will not see a goal from both sides. The Both to Score prop is juiced to the Under, soif they don't expect them both to score, the only club that will be scoring is Stoke. Let's see if they are right, because we will offer Stoke at -110 on the 3-Way line as a play worth taking.

    Arsenal vs West Ham

    3-Way: 1: Arsenal +115 Away ; X: +255 Draw ; 2: West Ham +240 Home

    Spread: Arsenal -0.5 +115 ; West Ham +0.5 -135

    Total 2.5: Over -140 ; Under +120

    Analysis and Prediction:

Arsenal missed an early chance to take a 1 - 0 lead with a missed PK in the 9th minute, and had to play most of the second half a man down. Now they will also be without Giroud, who got the Red Card even though QPR's Onuoha certainly over sold the dive when Giroud approached him at the top of the box. Onuoha gave Giroud quite a cheap shot of his own that led to his ejection, when Giroud got in his face, and the ref was right there to see the entire thing.

West Ham has not lost back-to-back matches yet this campaign, so the loss to Chelsea gives us the perfect opportunity to test West Ham at home. We will hope to see a line on the 0/Pk handicap at a lovely +150 or so on West Ham, with a Draw no Bet scenario in place.

    Everton vs Newcastle

    3-Way: 1: Everton +155 Away ; X: +235 Draw ; 2: Newcastle +185 Home

Spread: Everton Pk -120 ; Newcastle Pk +100

    Total 2.5: Over +100 ; Under -120

Bet on English Premier League at BetDSI

    Analysis and Prediction:

Newcastle has now gone three straight without a result, and four straight if we include the cup match, but Everton has also lost 3 of their last 4 and are trying to get in form themselves. Both clubs sit only 2 points apart in the table, but Everton has not lost in their last 5 matches against Newcastle, including 3 of the last 4 meeting at St. James Park.

We see Everton rebounding from the mid-week match, and will play them on the 0/Pk Draw no Bet line of -120.

    Monday, December 29- 1 Match

    Swansea vs Liverpool

    3-Way: 1: Swansea +425 Away ; X: +275 Draw ; 2: Liverpool -140 Home

    Spread: Swansea +0.5 +120 ; Liverpool -0.5 -140

    Total 2.5: Over -110 ; Under -110

    Analysis and Prediction:

Liverpool did what we expected them to do in the mid-week fixture, getting 3 more points to continue playing well without Balotelli on the pitch. The Reds can pull themselves to 28 points with another big win this weekend, which would tie them in points with this Swansea club.

This match has a draw feel to it for some reason, and since that could come with a 2 - 2 or 1 - 1 type score line, the total is tough to predict. We will settle for Swansea and the +0.5 at +120, expecting them to find at least a point away from home to finish up the weekend’s round of matches.
