Soccer Betting: After a weekend off for the International break, the headlines around English Premier League feature stories of managerial changes and injuries as we enter the ninth round of the campaign. Dick Advocaat resigned his post at Sunderland on October 4, becoming the first of many changes we expect to see over the course of the campaign. Within hours of the announcement from Sunderland, Liverpool's Brendan Rodgers was informed that he was being released as their manager, as the Merseyside Derby defeat ultimately was too much for the Liverpool brass to look past.

The round kicks offon Saturdaywith eight matches on the docket. Our featured match of the weekend is at Goodison Park, where Everton will play host to Manchester United. Everton is one of three clubs with only one defeat through the first eight rounds of the campaign, although they sit in the seventh spot of the table with 13 points.

Bet on the Premier League at BetDSI

Manchester United currently sits tied with Arsenal on 16 points, just two points behind rival Manchester City who hold the top spot in the league as we enter the round.

Tottenham and Liverpool face off at White Hart Lane this weekend, as injury news will be the topic of discussion for both clubs entering the round.

Jose Mourinho finds himself suspended for opening his mouth about referee decisions that led to Chelsea's 3 - 1 home defeat to Southampton last time out.

Plenty of news and injuries to highlight this weekend, so let's get to the pitch and inform you about what you need to know entering round 9 of the Premier League campaign.

    Saturday October 17- 8 Matches

Featured Match Everton vs Manchester United

    3-Way 1x2 Lines:

    Everton +235

    Man U +125

    Draw +245

    Everton Pk +140

    Man U Pk -160

    Total 2.5:

    Over +100

    Under -120

    Analysis and Prediction:

Since Everton's loss to Manchester City onAugust 23, the club has reeled off seven straight outings with a result between league play and the two Capital One Cup outings they have taken part in.

In their most recent contest with Liverpool before the break, Everton had to settle for a point after going down 1 - 0 just before the half, only to level the match in the first minute of added time before the halftime whistle blew. Neither side found the net in the second half as each club only managed one shot on goal apiece in the 1 - 1 draw.

Manchester United came away with their second loss of the campaign, losing 3 - 0 to Arsenal at Emirates Stadium just four days after their Champions League win over Wolfsburg.

Wayne Rooney, Michael Carrick and Bastian Schweinsteiger are all expected to be ready to go this weekend, as was revealed by Louis Van Gaal on the team's home page.

Bet on the Premier League at BetDSI

Everton has taken four of the last six meetings between the clubs, although they both took their home encounters in last year's campaign.

We are going to suggest this Under 2.5 at -120, expecting a low scoring draw type of result to take place, even with the expected returns we mentioned for Man U this weekend.

    Tottenham vs Liverpool

    3-Way: 1: Tottenham +145 Home ; X: +245 Draw ; 2: Liverpool +195 Away

Spread: Tottenham Pk -135 ; Liverpool Pk +115

    Total 2.5: Over -115 ; Under -105

    Analysis and Prediction:

Tottenham forward Son Heung-Min will be out of the lineup and could be sidelined for several more weeks as his foot injury has lingered longer than expected. It was the hope of manager Mauricio Pochettino to get Son back after the international break, but it appears he is not ready to return to action.

Liverpool got handed a big hit to their campaign as Danny Ings was ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury that revealed ligament damage. The injury came on the first practice under Jurgen Klopp, who just replaced Brendan Rodgers on October 4.

Christian Benteke has missed the last four outings with a hamstring injury, and heis still expected to be missing this weekend for Liverpool as well.

Philippe Coutinho and Dejan Lovren are both questionable this weekend, leaving Klopp to wonder who he will have available to start his tenure with the club.

We are undoubtedly suggesting this Under 2.5 at -105, wondering who is going to lead the way towards finding the net.

    Chelsea vs Aston Villa

    3-Way: 1: Chelsea -315 Home ; X: +455 Draw ; 2: Villa +900 Away

    Spread: Chelsea -1.5 -110 ; Villa +1.5 -110

    Total 2.5: Over -160 ; Under +135

    Analysis and Prediction:

As we mentioned in the intro, Jose Mourinho is dealing with his first of who knows how many suspensions he will be picking up this campaign.

Another post-game tirade about questionable refereeing in the loss to Southampton earned the Portuguese native a one-match ban for his comments, and we will assume it won't be the last time he will be out of the dugout for opening his mouth.

Regardless, his antics are not firing up his club and, in all honesty, the more you bark at the refs, the more we know that decisions won't come any easier in their favor.

With eight points through eight rounds, the situation for Chelsea could get better with the return of Diego Costa. He served his three-match ban and is certainly going to be asked to carry this club as they hope to get back in the upper half of the table, much less in position for European competition next year.

Aston Villa could be the next source of a managerial change, as Tim Sherwood is actually listed at +125 at some European books to be the next man to be removed from his post.

Since Villa's opening match win over Bournemouth, they have gone winless in their seven outings since, riding a four-match slide in to this weekend.

Let's say that both clubs have had extremely difficult times this campaign, and just move to our prediction.

There is obviously no room on a total play here unless we look for the under, but the line setters are definitely telling us that they expect goals to come, tossing a -160 on the simple 2.5 to go Over.

Aston Villa has not been blown out of the water in any of their losses, and in fact all eight matches they have played have been one goal games, so we put the +1.5 handicap offer on the board with Villa simply for that reason alone.

    Crystal Palace vs West Ham

    3-Way: 1: C. Palace -110 Home ; X: +255 Draw ; 2: West Ham +315 Away

    Spread: C. Palace -0.5 -110 ; West Ham +0.5 -110

    Total 2.5: Over -115 ; Under -105

    Analysis and Prediction:

Crystal Palace brings a two-match win streak into this weekend, although escaping Watford and getting by West Brom is not all that convincing to us.

West Ham has continued to be road warriors this campaign, with three wins and a draw in their four travels this year in league play.

If the line setters want to seem confused as to how long this run of road results will continue for West Ham, we will clarify it for them and offer the +0.5 handicap line with the away side at -110.

    Manchester City vs Bournemouth

    3-Way: 1: Man City -300 Home ; X: +425 Draw ; 2: Bournemouth +900 Away

    Spread: Man City -1.5 -105 ; Bournemouth +1.5 -115

    Total 3: Over -115 ; Under -105

    Analysis and Prediction:

Is the straight 3 on this total supposed to intimidate someone to shy away from it?

Manchester City could score three goals against any club in this league if they put their mind to it, and with Bournemouth coming to Etihad Stadium for their first time, we suspect things will not go so well for the newly promoted side.

The Over 3 comes in at -115, and we expect all three of those goals to come from Manchester City, so the last objective will come when we see that fourth goal that will cash the ticket outright.

    Southampton vs Leicester City

    3-Way: 1: Southampton -135 Home ; X: +270 Draw ; 2: Leicester +400 Away

    Spread: Southampton -0.5 -135 ; Leicester +0.5 +115

    Total 2.5: Over -125 ; Under +105

    Analysis and Prediction:

According to Chelsea's Jose Mourinho, Southampton's 3 - 1 win over Chelsea only happened because the referee was unwilling to call certain fouls in situations that could have provided many a set piece around the 18-yard box. One of which, in fact, came in the box that could have been seen a penalty kick opportunity might have changed the outcome, but regardless, three points for the Saints was the result.

We can only say it so many times, so let's break out our favorite quote when it comes to Leicester.

When Leicester faces clubs that have decent scoring potential, the total will always be on our minds in their matches, so we move right to the Over 2.5 and drink up the -125 juice attached to the action.

Last campaign we did see two 2 - 0 home wins in the series between the two clubs, but hopefully we see that third goal come at St. Mary's this weekend to cash out an Over ticket..

    West Brom vs Sunderland

    3-Way: 1: West Brom -105 Home ; X: +235 Draw ; 2: Sunderland +333 Away

    Spread: West Brom -0.5 -105 ; Sunderland +0.5 -115

    Total 2.5: Over +130 ; Under -150

    Analysis and Prediction:

Sunderland begins anew with the arrival of Sam Allardyce who had previously been with West Ham for the last four campaigns. With Dick Advocaat resigning after helping the club survive relegation last year, it took just eight matches into this year's campaign for Advocaat to acknowledge that he does not have control of the club.

Sunderland is one of two remaining clubs without a win through the first eight fixtures of the campaign, and have allowed a league high 18 goals as Allardyce takes over.

West Brom is looking to shake off their own two-match slide that has them sittingwith eight points just outside the drop zone, early as the campaign is.

The Baggies have the reverse issue this year, as scoring has been a tough commodity sitting in the three-way tie with a league-low six goals scored.

Bringing in a new manager usually provides a bit of a spark, so let's see if the addition of Allardyce makes a difference.

We suggest the +0.5 handicap with Sunderland at -115, with the likelihood of a draw coming to help us cash the ticket.

    Watford vs Arsenal

    3-Way: 1: Watford +525 Home ; X: +315 Draw ; 2: Arsenal -175 Away

    Spread: Watford +1 -115 ; Arsenal -1 -105

    Total 2.5: Over -145 ; Under +125

    Analysis and Prediction:

Watford is simply not ready to take on Arsenal at this juncture of the campaign, and we are simply going to suggest the -1 handicap with the Gunners on the road this weekend.

Arsenal is firing on all cylinders, coming off a convincing 3 - 0 win over Manchester United last time out, but there is concern as Arsenal has Bayern Munich this week in Champions League coming up.

The Gunners are 0 for 2 in their first two matches of their European campaign, and a loss to Bayern Munich this week could essentially end their Champions League affair after losing both of their outings against Dinamo Zagreb and group F.

Bet on the Premier League at BetDSI

We expect Arsenal to leave plenty in the tank for their European contest this week, but Watford is not being overlooked by manager Arsene Wegner.

2 - 1 Arsenal is the call, so we might simply end up pushing the action on the -1, but the -145 on the total to go Over holds no value to us at that price.

    Sunday October 18- 1 Match

    Newcastle vs Norwich City

    3-Way: 1: Newcastle +165 Home ; X: +235 Draw ; 2: Norwich +175 Away

Spread: Newcastle Pk -120 ; Norwich Pk +100

    Total 2.5: Over -105 ; Under -115

    Analysis and Prediction:

Newcastle's Steve McClaren is apparently next on the list of betting props as to what manager will be replaced in the Premiership. Along with Tim Sherwood from Aston Villa, the two have simply not produced results that could lead to their exit, as Newcastle sits winless through the first eight fixtures of the campaign.

Norwich City has provided a good handful of exciting matches in their first year back in top flight, and we expect this to also be a source for some goals to come in support of a play on this total.

The Over 2.5 at a reasonable -105 makes our board in the lone match forSundayat St. James' Park.

    Monday October 19- 1 Match

    Swansea City vs Stoke City

    3-Way: 1: Swansea +100 Home ; X: +245 Draw ; 2: Stoke +300 Away

    Spread: Swansea -0.5 +100 ; Stoke +0.5 -120

    Total 2.5: Over +120 ; Under -140

Bet on the Premier League at BetDSI

    Analysis and Prediction:

Swansea at +100 on the 3-Way line is the sucker bet of the weekend, as it will probably lead to many losing tickets from bettors who think the line is fair on the home side.

We completely disagree with that assessment and suggest you finish your round nine betting with the Stoke +0.5 handicap offer of -120.

This is an even match that will likely end 1 - 1 when the final whistle blows, and the draw does hold some value at +245, but we are not ones to suggest too many draws outright.

Invest in Stoke to get some type of result, despite being away from Britannia Stadium.
