Soccer Betting: Round seven of Premier League kicks off this weekend after most of the top tier clubs took part in mid-week Capital One Cup action. With the featured match at White Hart Lane between Tottenham and Manchester City highlighting the round, Manchester City looks to rebound from their first loss of the campaign last weekend against West Ham, while the Hotspur hope to build on a five-match streak without defeat.

In other expected action, Manchester United find themselves in position to overtake the top spot in Premier League, as they host Sunderland at Old Trafford on the heels of their Capital One Cup victory over Ipswichon Tuesday.

West Ham has surprised all of us with big away results this year, coming off their upset victory of Manchester City at Etihad Stadium a weekend ago. They have also stolen wins against Liverpool and Arsenal on the road this campaign.

The Irons will host Premier League newcomers Norwich City at Boleyn Ground.

Chelsea takes a trip North to face Newcastle at St. James Park, after they, too, came away with a Capital One Cup victory during the week against Walsall from League One. The defending league champs are still mired in the 15th position of the table, but are building momentum after their big home win over rival Arsenal last weekend.

Let's run over all of the matches on deck for the weekend ahead, as Champions and Europa League group stage is set to continue for a handful of clubs from Premier League this week as well.

    Saturday September 26- 8 Matches

Featured Match Tottenham vs Manchester City

    3-Way 1x2 Lines:

    Tottenham +290

    Man City -105

    Draw +265

    Spread:

    Tottenham +0.5 -115

    Man City +0.5 -105

    Total 2.5:

    Over -130

    Under +110

    Analysis and Prediction:

Tottenham was one of the handful of clubs from top flight who were knocked out of the Capital One Cup this week. Arsenal came to White Hart Lane and found a 2 - 1 away win to leave the Hotspurs out of the competition going forward.

We will still see Tottenham in the Europa League group stages, however, as they take on Monaco in France on matchday twoThursday.

Manchester City was yet another victim of West Ham, who are 3 - 0 on the road this year as we mentioned in the intro, although they did prevail in their Capital One Cup match against Sunderland early this week. The win for City snapped their two-match slide which started with a disappointing loss to Juventus at home in Champions League before the defeat to West Ham last weekend.

Injuries are starting to become a concern for City as they enter the weekend, as nine players, including Vincent Kompany, David Silva, and Wilfried Bony, are questionable to partake in the affair.

We simply do not see too much scoring here, although the line setters want to charge -130 for the Over, but we completely disagree with that. The Under 2.5 at +110 goes in as our suggestion for the featured match of the weekend at White Hart Lane.

    Leicester City vs Arsenal

    3-Way: 1: Leicester +335 Home ; X: +290 Draw ; 2: Arsenal -125 Away

    Spread: Leicester +0.5 +105 ; Arsenal -0.5 -125

    Total 3: Over +110 ; Under -130

    Analysis and Prediction:

Arsenal got their Capital One Cup started with a big away win at White Hart Laneon Wednesday, although the Gunners suffered a 2 - 0 setback last weekend to Chelsea in the Community Shield match.

Leicester amazingly enough, is the only club in Premier League who can boast about not having a loss on their campaign and, in fact, the last time Leicester was defeated was back in April of last year's campaign.

Leicester has now gone 17 outings without a loss dating back to last season in all competitions and friendly affairs, but yet they enter this match as the underdogs at home.

If the line setters want to give away the +0.5 handicap on the home side just because Arsenal is seen as a bigger club in their eyes, than we can turn around and gladly offer that as a play here at King Power Stadium.

The +0.5 at +105 with the Foxes home handicap is the play we suggest, and if you're really feeling bold, the Pk action on Leicester sits at +220, which screams value in our opinion.

    Liverpool vs Aston Villa

    3-Way: 1: Liverpool -220 Home ; X: +330 Draw ; 2: Villa +615 Away

    Spread: Liverpool -1 -120 ; Villa +1 +100

    Total 2.5: Over -120 ; Under +100

    Analysis and Prediction:

Liverpool barely escaped their Capital One Cup outing this week with League Two's Carlisle, needing penalty kicks to come away with the win at home, although the Reds didn't exactly put their A-squad on the pitch for the match.

Danny Ings scored the lone regulation time goal for Liverpool, but scoring is still something they are struggling with this year, having only four goals through six league matches as well.

Aston Villa got by Birmingham in their Capital One Cup match this week, but they are still in search of their first league victory since opening weekend against Bournemouth.

We certainly can't recommend that we will see goals between these two this weekend at Anfield, so the Under 2.5 at an even money +100 makes our board here.

    Manchester United vs Sunderland

    3-Way: 1: Man U -440 Home ; X: +550 Draw ; 2: Sunderland +1300 Away

    Spread: Man U -2 +115 ; Sunderland +2 -135

    Total 3: Over -110 ; Under -110

    Analysis and Prediction:

Manchester City took out Sunderland in the Capital One Cup this week, and now Manchester United gets to have their fun with Sunderland at Old Trafford this weekend.

We can only imagine that soon enough we will talking about a new manager for Sunderland, as Dick Advocaat is simply not getting the job done, and the fans have already been seen leaving the matches early, as they did too often during the last campaign.

It is strange to see a -2 and a total of 3 here, because we do not expect a 2 - 0 home win, so the Over 3 will be our suggestion.

A 3 - 1 scoreline sounds about right to us, so let's see how good our senses are working this weekend, and put that Over 3 on the board at a simple -110.

    Southampton vs Swansea City

    3-Way: 1: Southampton +105 Home ; X: +240 Draw ; 2: Swansea +285 Away

    Spread: Southampton -0.5 +105 ; Swansea +0.5 -125

    Total 2.5: Over +125 ; Under -145

    Analysis and Prediction:

Southampton needed a confidence-building win, and it came this week in their 6 - 0 win over Milton Keynes in the Capital One Cup.

Granted they damn well better have skunked the Dons as they did, but it still helps the mindset when you go out and get it done in that fashion.

Swansea was taken out of the Cup this week with their loss to Hull City, who were demoted after last campaign to the Championship Division, but are playing well trying to get back to top flight football.

With the 1 - 0 loss to Hull, that marks three straight outings without a goal to their credit, although Swansea does only have one loss in the Premier League campaign thus far.

Southampton at +105 on the 3-Way line makes our board this weekend, because we have zero confidence in the ability of Swansea to find the net.

    Stoke City vs Bournemouth

    3-Way: 1: Stoke +160 Home ; X: +235 Draw ; 2: Bournemouth +180 Away

Spread: Stoke Pk -115 ; Bournemouth Pk -105

    Total 2.5: Over +110 ; Under -130

Bet on The Premier League at BetDSI

    Analysis and Prediction:

Stoke and Bournemouth came away with mid-week victories in Cup play, and hope to carry it over to this weekend, as the two meet at Britannia Stadium.

Stoke is one of three clubs to have not tasted glory this year, joining Newcastle and Sunderland as the last clubs to not have a win to their credit.

Bournemouth is coming off their second win of the campaign, after taking out Sunderland last weekend with a 2 - 0 win at home. Callum Wilson and Matt Richie each scored before the 10-minute mark, as the Cherries held Sunderland to only two shots on frame in the outing.

Until Stoke finds that first victory, we are going to throw down Bournemouth and the Pk handicap offer of -105.

    West Ham vs Norwich

    3-Way: 1: West Ham +125 Home ; X: +240 Draw ; 2: Norwich +230 Away

    Spread: West Ham -0.5 +125 ; Norwich +0.5 -145

    Total 2.5: Over -110 ; Under -110

    Analysis and Prediction:

West Ham is 3 - 0 away from home, but have only one win in three home outings, which is normally the exact opposite of what we expect to see around any of the four major European leagues.

Norwich is the king of inconsistency so far, having a loss, win and draw, backed up with a loss, win and a draw in succession, so apparently a loss is in store if that trend continues.

We expect it to continue, and West Ham should surely get by Norwich at home, so the +125 offer on the home side 3-Way line is our suggested action at Boleyn Ground.

    Newcastle vs Chelsea

    3-Way: 1: Newcastle +485 Home ; X: +305 Draw ; 2: Chelsea -155 Away

    Spread: Newcastle +1 -130 ; Chelsea -1 +110

    Total 2.5: Over -120 ; Under +100

    Analysis and Prediction:

Chelsea is going to take this affair and we have no other argument to make here, as Newcastle is still looking for that first win of the campaign. The last thing they need to see coming to town is a pissed off Jose Mourinho who expects much more from his club than 15th place in the table.

Let's just get to our final two matches and offer the Chelsea -1 at +110 here.

Bet on The Premier League at BetDSI

    Sunday September 27- 1 Match

    Watford vs Crystal Palace

    3-Way: 1: Watford +145 Home ; X: +230 Draw ; 2: C. Palace +205 Away

    Spread: Watford Pk -130 ; C. Palace Pk +110

    Total 2.5: Over +115 ; Under -135

    Analysis and Prediction:

Crystal Palace took out Chelsea on the last weekend of August, but has since lost two straight 1 - 0 affairs taking all that momentum away, as they try to remain in the upper portion of the table.

Watford is carrying their first two-match win streak into the weekend, and since they were knocked out of the Capital One Cup in the previous round, they enter the match rested and have held all three of their opponents at home to clean sheets in three outings.

We predict a 1 - 0 home win here, but we will still use the Pk Draw no Bet handicap offer of -130 on Watford just in case we see the 0 - 0 result.

    Monday September 28- 1 Match

    West Brom vs Everton

    3-Way: 1: West Brom +205 Home ; X: +225 Draw ; 2: Everton +150 Away

Spread: West Brom Pk +110 ; Everton Pk -130

    Total 2: Over -140 ; Under +120

    Analysis and Prediction:

We expect even less goal scoring to take place in the loneMondaymatch that wraps up the seventh round, and obviously the line setters reveal that they feel the same way, listing a straight 2 on the total.

If either club comes away with three points here, it will be Everton, who have not lost in three away games in the early campaign, so the Everton Pk at -130 will be our final offer of the round in Premier League action this weekend.
