Soccer Betting: Defending league champions Chelsea has gotten off to a rough start in the new campaign, but a big win against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge could ease the tension in London this weekend. As the Derby that is Chelsea and Arsenal has risen over the last decade, the fans of each club will argue that the rivalry started back in the 1930s, when the two started playing in major competitions around England, but we will save that story for another day.

Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho have a ton of respect for each other, but let's face facts here and say that there is no love lost between them. The two managers have gone through many phases of arguments and disagreements about who has the better team, who is the better manager, etc.

Let's not just focus on them, however, as there are nine other matches around the Premiership that will impact the campaign, so let's break it all down and see what's in store on the English pitch this weekend.

    Saturday September 19- 7 Matches

    Featured Match Chelsea vs Arsenal

    3-Way 1x2 Lines:

    Chelsea +135

    Arsenal +205

    Draw +250

    Spread:

    Chelsea Pk -145

    Arsenal Pk +125

    Total 2.5:

    Over -120

    Under +105

    Analysis and Prediction:

We pretty much covered what the derby means to the players, coaches and fans, which we could undoubtedly write a book about with all the quotes and back-to-back lashings that Mourinho and Wenger have tossed at each other for the last decade.

To add a little more fuel to the fire this week, Chelsea and Arsenal began their Champions League group stages where Chelsea came away with a 4 - 0 win over Maccabi Tel Aviv, while Arsenal lost to Croatia's Dinamo Zagreb.

Oliver Giroud getting sent off with a red card before the end of the first half didn't help matters for the Gunners, but as we look at the Premier League table, Arsenal has the upper hand thus far sitting in fourth place while Chelsea has been outscored 12 - 7 near the bottom of the table.

We know that Arsenal lost their opener to West Ham at home, but have since earned 10 points with three wins and a draw in their last four outings. Goalkeeper Petr Cech was a controversial move in the off-season, but he is now helping the Gunners chase their first league title since the 2003-04 campaign.

Even though Chelsea has been a mess defensively thus far in the campaign, this match is likely going to come down to one mistake that will cost someone three points, but as a whole, we see this contest as a stone cold under with not much to speak of on the offensive side of the ball.

The Under 2.5 makes our board in the featured match of the round at Stamford Bridge.

    Bournemouth vs Sunderland

    3-Way: 1: Bournemouth -150 Home ; X: +285 Draw ; 2: Sunderland +455 Away

    Spread: Bournemouth -0.5 -150 ; Sunderland +0.5 +130

    Total 2.5: Over -105 ; Under -115

    Analysis and Prediction:

Sunderland remains as one of three clubs that hasn’t tasted victory this campaign, and we already know that their fans are on the brink of throwing in the towel.

Bournemouth is coming off a loss to fellow newcomers to the Premiership Norwich last weekend, and we are trying to figure out why the line setters are pointing to an Under here at -115, when we see this as a golden opportunity to expect some goal scoring to take place.

We are offering this Over 2.5 at -105, because a 2 - 1 match here is something we could see within the first hour of the match, and we will simply waiting for the match to end to cash our tickets.

    Aston Villa vs West Brom

    3-Way: 1: Aston Villa +130 Home ; X: +225 Draw ; 2: West Brom +235 Away

Spread: Aston Villa Pk -165 ; West Brom Pk +140

    Total 2: Over -130 ; Under +110

    Analysis and Prediction:

This is one of those matches where you feel that whatever you predict, the opposite will happen, because they both simply stink and shouldn't even be in top flight football.

We are going to put the draw on the board, because there is nothing convincing us that either side deserves a play.

The +225 on the action is at least worth a look, since all we can foresee is a 1 - 1 score coming at Villa Park.

    Newcastle vs Watford

    3-Way: 1: Newcastle +150 Home ; X: +230 Draw ; 2: Watford +195 Away

Spread: Newcastle Pk -130 ; Watford Pk +110

    Total 2.5: Over +115 ; Under -135

    Analysis and Prediction:

Well Watford surprised us last weekend, and they probably surprised a few people after going a man down and only allowing Swansea one shot on frame in the second half, to come away with their first top flight win.

Now, Watford has to settle down and regroup for an away match at St. James' Park to take on Newcastle, who have done nothing but get walked on this campaign, sitting with two points tied with Sunderland and Stoke City at the bottom of the table with two points.

Watford's only loss through five matches is a tough 2 - 0 loss to league leading Manchester City, although as we mentioned last weekend, Watford has not made scoring look easy this year with only three goals in the books through five outings.

We see this as another opportunity to cash an under ticket with not much expected on the offensive side of the ball, so the Under 2.5 goes on the board despite the -135 cutoff point we have as far as juice is concerned.

    Stoke City vs Leicester City

    3-Way: 1: Stoke +140 Home ; X: +240 Draw ; 2: Leicester +200 Away

Spread: Stoke Pk -135 ; Leicester Pk +115

    Total 2.5: Over +100 ; Under -120

    Analysis and Prediction:

How many times can we cash Over tickets with Leicester this year? Combined with last campaign, it is safe to say that the Leicester totals have made our board more than any other offer we have given in the two years of Premier League previews here at DSI.

If even money is the best the line setters can offer for that same play we love to dish out, than we can certainly oblige them with a play on this Over 2.5 at +100 with no argument at all.

    Swansea City vs Everton

    3-Way: 1: Swansea +130 Home ; X: +235 Draw ; 2: Everton +225 Away

Spread: Swansea Pk -150 ; Everton Pk +130

    Total 2.5: Over +105 ; Under -125

    Analysis and Prediction:

Swansea couldn't score on Watford at all last weekend, and throw in the fact that they were playing 11 vs 10 for a half hour to finish the second half.

Everton and Mr. Howard won't make that task any easier, so to get our revenge for Swansea's debacle last weekend, we offer the Everton Pk at +130, seeing the value, and fading Swansea.

    Manchester City vs West Ham

    3-Way: 1: Man City -375 Home ; X: +500 Draw ; 2: West Ham +1085 Away

    Spread: Man City -1.5 -135 ; West Ham+1.5 +115

    Total 3.5: Over +110 ; Under -130

    Analysis and Prediction:

Manchester City may be 5 - 0 in the Premiership, but what a harsh defeat they got handed in their matchday one of Champions League group stage this week.

Favored to take out a struggling Juventus who are winless in their Serie A campaign thus far, Man City not only let a 1 - 0 lead slip away with two late Juventus goals, but they reminded us of that team they were last campaign, who all too often allowed late goals to change the complexion of their games.

Do you know why this total is 3.5?We do, and we cannot believe the line setters are offering a +110 on the hopes of a 2 - 2 type of match here, because there is no doubt in our minds that this total will topple over.

The Over 3.5 at +110 is a gift, so unwrap it and share it with your family around the dinner table.

    Sunday September 20- 3 Matches

    Tottenham vs Crystal Palace

    3-Way: 1: Tottenham -110 Home ; X: +260 Draw ; 2: C. Palace +320 Away

    Spread: Tottenham -0.5 -110 ; C. Palace +0.5 -110

    Total 2.5: Over -110 ; Under -110

    Analysis and Prediction:

Tottenham did exactly what we expected them to do last weekend, and that was get their first road win of the campaign against Sunderland. Tottenham also took their matchday one affair against Qarabag at home in Europa League, so things are certainly starting to look up for the Spurs as they enter the weekend.

Crystal Palace also did what we expected from them last weekend, although the +1 turned in to a push as a result of the 1 - 0 defeat to Man City last weekend.

The line setters don't know which direction to go when it comes to the total, so we will provide some clarity.

The Over 2.5 is the direction you seek if you prefer cashing winning tickets, as a 2 - 1 scoreline is easily going to hit the board here, so at -110, take the Over here at White Hart Lane.

    Liverpool vs Norwich City

    3-Way: 1: Liverpool -165 Home ; X: +310 Draw ; 2: Norwich +485 Away

    Spread: Liverpool -1 +110 ; Norwich -1 -130

    Total 2.5: Over -115 ; Under -105

    Analysis and Prediction:

Well, we told you the struggling offense of Liverpool would cost this club at some point, and those struggles have already begun.

Luckily for the Reds, Norwich City comes calling to Anfield, and all those struggles will be washed away in an instant. Just add water, stir, and watch the Norwich defense completely help us all cash a ticket on this total.

We have seen four of five Norwich totals go Over this campaign, and we are going to suspect that we will see another one this weekend, so the Over 2.5 at -115 is on the board.

Bet on the Premier League at BetDSI

    Southampton vs Manchester United

    3-Way: 1: Southampton +215 Home ; X: +225 Draw ; 2: Man U +140 Away

    Spread: Southampton Pk +120 ; Man U Pk -140

    Total 2: Over -130 ; Under +110

    Analysis and Prediction:

Last campaign, this game would probably have been in consideration for the featured match of the weekend, but with Southampton coming out of the gate struggling and getting mixed results, the only club doing what was expected is Manchester United.

Injuries have played a role in Southampton's struggles, and we saw a similarity to this last year, but they managed to get through it much better a year ago then they are doing this year.

When the line setters offer a 2 on the total in Premier League, they are usually privy to information that points them in that direction, so we can agree that the play is the Under 2.5 and hopefully enjoy a lovely +110 attached to that action.
