    Chelsea-vs-Crystal-Palace Odds

English Premier League:With three rounds in the record books, one club remains perfect in Barclay's Premier League. Manchester City has not only won all three of their matches, but they have yet to even allow a ball to find the back of their net.

Not known for their defensive attributes in recent times, the Sky Blues have everything working in unison thus far, getting timely offense to go along with a stiff defense that only allowed Everton a single shot on frame last weekend in their 2 - 0 home win. Our featured match of the weekend comes at Stamford Bridge, as the South London derby brings Crystal Palace across town to face Chelsea, who earned their first win of the new campaign last weekend at West Brom.

The win was costly, however, as John Terry picked up a red card, and will be in the audience for this weekend's match.

Eight matchesSaturday, and two more on the finalSundayof August to talk about, so let's start the teapot boiling and get to the pitch around the Premiership.

    Saturday August 29- 8 Matches

Featured Match Chelsea vs Crystal Palace

    3-Way 1x2 Lines:

    Chelsea -325

    C. Palace +950

    Draw +425

    Chelsea -1.5 -105

    C. Palace +1.5 -115

    Total 3:

    Over +115

    Under -135

    Analysis and Prediction:

Chelsea is 5 - 1 in the six meetings the two have had in recent times, and the Blues swept the home and home series against Crystal Palace a season ago, with a 2 - 1 win at Selhurst Park and a 1 - 0 win on the back half of the campaign here at Stamford Bridge.

In Chelsea's match with West Brom this past weekend, Chelsea was fortunate to get out of the gate with a 2 - 0 lead on the half hour mark, after Morrison had missed an early penalty kick for West Brom that could have given them a 1 - 0 lead.Instead, Morrison scored the goal to pull the match to 2 - 1, but Chelsea converted a third goal just before the half to take a 3 - 1 lead to the locker room.

John Terry was given a red card as the tenth minute of the second half chimed in, and Chelsea had to fend off West Brom, who did indeed find the net to make it 3 - 2, but couldn't find the equalizer.

Crystal Palace has their first shot at the defending Premier League title holders and, if there are any early indications, it looks like the Palace might be ready for a better season than the 10th place finish last year. They elevated to the middle of the table after being among the clubs fighting to survive being sent down and getting off to a rough first half of the campaign last season.

There is no irony to the fact that since Alan Pardew has had the reigns after signing in the winter window last year, there is a renewed sense of team spirit there now. If you remember, this is where Pardew played for a few seasons, helping the Palace finish in third place during his 1990-1991 campaign which is still the club record finish to date.

This might finally be the wide-open, crash-the-net, put-everything-in-the-box type of match we have been waiting to see from Chelsea since the campaign began, and the Palace is not going to simply let Chelsea walk all over them without putting up a fight.

This total of 3 hits the board. First, because we think there will be no less than three goals and second, because of the +115 attachment to it.

Fair enough for us to expect no less than a 2 - 1 result to get our money back if need be.

    Bournemouth vs Leicester City

    3-Way: 1: Bournemouth +120 Home ; X: +255 Draw ; 2: Leicester +225 Away

    Spread: Bournemouth -0.5 +120 ; Leicester +0.5 -140

    Total 2.5: Over -120 ; Under +100

    Analysis and Prediction:

If we are going to see an offensive outburst from Bournemouth like they had last weekend, then that will change how we can look at them finally.

After two 1 - 0 results against Aston Villa and Liverpool, we started to wonder if the real Bournemouth would stand up, and they finally did that on the road at West Ham.

You should know by now how we feel about Leicester totals if you have been reading the last years of previews here at BetDSI, and to see a meager -120 on this total to snap the Over 2.5 within the hour mark, that will certainly make our suggestion box this weekend.

    Aston Villa vs Sunderland

    3-Way: 1: Aston VIlla -120 Home ; X: +250 Draw ; 2: Sunderland +380 Away

    Spread: Aston VIlla -0.5 -120 ; Sunderland +0.5 +100

    Total 2.5: Over +125 ; Under -145

    Analysis and Prediction:

Sunderland scored on their only shot of the second half last weekend to earn a draw at home against Swansea and, to be honest, when Swansea scored in added time in the first half to make it 1 - 0, the thought was naturally that Sunderland would give up.

A point is at least something, but Sunderland needs to not fall too far behind because of the league-leading eight goals given up through the first three rounds. If that number starts to swell further in the wrong direction, and Dick Advocaat doesn't get their fans back behind them, it could be a long campaign.

This could be a 1 - 1 match, but we also might see a sneaky Sunderland win, so we are opting to go with the +0.5 handicap line with the away side at +100, to test if Sunderland will actually make the draw with Swansea add to some type of result this weekend.

Aston Villa doesn't exactly apply a world of pressure either, so a low-scoring draw could easily come to fruition.

    Liverpool vs West Ham

    3-Way: 1: Liverpool -270 Home ; X: +400 Draw ; 2: West Ham +800 Away

    Spread: Liverpool -1.5 +105 ; West Ham +1.5 -125

    Total 3: Over +115 ; Under -135

    Analysis and Prediction:

So Liverpool has played three matches and we have seen a total of two goals scored, but yet the line setters moved the total to a straight 3 and set the juice the under at -135?

Questionable stuff there, because the line setters are expecting a break out performance from Liverpool, revealing that by offering the -1.5 handicap line.

Liverpool has to prove that they can even score two goals in one match, much less do it to cover a -1.5 line, even if West Ham did give up four goals to Bournemouth last weekend and will be without Jenkinson at right back after the red card he picked up in the loss.

The +1.5 goes on the board here with West Ham regardless at -125.

    Manchester City vs Watford

    3-Way: 1: Man City -485 Home ; X: +615 Draw ; 2: Watford +1325 Away

    Spread: Man City -2 -115 ; Watford +2 -105

    Total 3.5: Over -105 ; Under -115

    Analysis and Prediction:

If Watford can't score against West Brom and Southampton, and couldn't score this week in their Capital One Cup match with Preston, when will they figure out how to score? The opening weekend 2 - 2 draw with Everton must have been a fluke, and now Watford has to walk in to Etihad Stadium and crack a defense that has not given up a goal yet?

That makes both this -2 handicap and the 3.5 total tricky, because Man City could score three goals and be content with a home win against a newcomer to top flight, but will Watford score is the question.

We will say no they won't, and offer the Under 3.5 expecting a nice comfortable 3 - 0 home win, hopefully avoiding that fourth goal to kill the action at -115.

    Newcastle vs Arsenal

    3-Way: 1: Newcastle +500 Home ; X: +320 Draw ; 2: Arsenal -175 Away

    Spread: Newcastle +1 -115 ; Arsenal -1 -105

    Total 2.5: Over -135 ; Under +115

    Analysis and Prediction:

Arsenal has been held to a clean sheet twice in three outings, and Newcastle is coming off their own 0 - 0 outing with Manchester City, but now the line setters see this as a reason to juice the Over 2.5 at -135? What league are they watching, because we see this as a nice opportunity to cash a +115 offer on the Under 2.5 here, expecting more of the scoring woes to continue.

    Stoke City vs West Brom

    3-Way: 1: Stoke -105 Home ; X: +245 Draw ; 2: West Brom +315 Away

    Spread: Stoke -0.5 -105 ; West Brom +0.5 -115

    Total 2.5: Over +125 ; Under -145

    Analysis and Prediction:

Neither club has shown us much in the early going, as they each are still looking for a win, and West Brom already finds themselves in the Premier League basement, early as it is.

Stoke has put up one shot on frame in two of their three outings thus far and, amazingly, they scored on their only shot this past weekend in the draw with Norwich City.

Stoke at home should come away with these three points, and the line setters mildly agree with the -105 offer on the 3-Way action.

We will turn to that offer, and grab the Stoke 3-Way 1x2 line at -105 to take out West Brom at Britannia Stadium.

    Tottenham vs Everton

    3-Way: 1: Tottenham -105 Home ; X: +255 Draw ; 2: Everton +300 Away

    Spread: Tottenham -0.5 -105 ; Everton +0.5 -115

    Total 2.5: Over -115 ; Under -105

    Analysis and Prediction:

Tottenham was expected to get off to a much better start than the two points they have been able to secure thus far, but we know this club is due for a breakout soon enough.

It may not come against Tim Howard, however, as Howard made his return last weekend and made seven saves, but allowed two goals in their 2 - 0 loss to Manchester City

Even with Howard in net, the Everton defense is always a concern, as they hung Howard out to dry last campaign entirely too many times.

We are suggesting this Over 2.5 at a pretty fair -115.

    Sunday August 30- 2 Matches

    Southampton vs Norwich City

    3-Way: 1: Southampton -105 Home ; X: +250 Draw ; 2: Norwich +310 Away

    Spread: Southampton -0.5 -105 ; Norwich +0.5 -115

    Total 2.5: Over +100 ; Under -120

    Analysis and Prediction:

Not about to let this total get away easy, because even money on the expectation of a 2 - 1 score when the final whistle blows. Even though Watford struggled with finding the net against Southampton last weekend, that will not stop us from over crediting the Southampton defense.

Another spot where we are simply giving this total as a recommendation, and moving right along to our last match of the weekend.

Bet on the English Premier League at BetDSI

    Swansea vs Manchester United

    3-Way: 1: Swansea +235 Home ; X: +235 Draw ; 2: Man U +125 Away

    Spread: Swansea Pk +140 ; Man U Pk -165

    Total 2.5: Over +120 ; Under -140

    Analysis and Prediction:

It looks like Swansea is going to be that club this year that no one can figure out who they are and, so far, they have been erratic to say the least.

An opening day draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge leads to a nice win over Newcastle a weekend later.

This past weekend, Swansea comes up with a strange draw with Sunderland, who we thought were already getting in to early trouble, made worse by the 1 - 0 halftime deficit. Swansea let Sunderland draw even just after the hour mark, and neither club could find the decider.

Manchester United found out that they will resuming their Champions League campaign in Group B, with PSV Eindhoven, Wolfsburg and CSKA Moscow in their group that was announcedThursdayin Monaco, France.

Man U easily got by Club Brugge with a 7 - 1 aggregate in qualifying.

Swansea is not beating Manchester United, and it is as simple as that.

We are undoubtedly offering the +125 on Manchester United to take all three points on the 3-Way 1x2 line, and rely again on their defense that has set the tone for the rest of the campaign.
