Soccer Betting: It is a busy time in England, with the transfer window wide open and a stiff breeze that follows. As we turn the calendar to 2015, managers and players seem to be moving everywhere around the league, and there are rumors floating around in just about every camp. We will do our best to keep everyone informed as the action happens, because it will all obviously affect the landscape of the Premier League, as well as all of Europe.

The New Year brings us a full slate of matches, and it will complete our holiday themed threads that we hope you have enjoyed and taken advantage of as well.

Our featured match of the round comes at St. Mary's Stadium, with Southampton and Arsenal squaring off in a battle of two clubs sitting in the 4th spot on 33 points each. The Saints come off a big draw with Chelsea, and the Gunners come off a nice win over West Ham.

There is much to discuss, so let's take it to the pitch, and get 2015 underway.

Thursday, January 1- Full Schedule 10 Matches

    Featured Match Arsenal vs Southampton

    3-Way 1x2 Lines:

    Arsenal +140

    Southampton +200

    Draw +240

    Arsenal Pk -135

    Southampton Pk +115

    Total 2.5:

    Over +105

    Under -125

    Analysis and Prediction:

Arsenal is another club making news with the signing of Polish phenom Krystian Bielik, who is still extremely young at only 16, but is already making waves with some early appearances for Legia Warsaw.

Lukas Podolski is apparently in talks with Juventus of Italy's Serie A, and La Liga's Atleitco Madrid, and the Gunners are also looking to attract Roma's Mattia Destro and Napoli's Marek Hamsik. The club is also trying to get in the Paul Pogba sweepstakes, who plays for Juventus and is a French National.

Southampton still has one of the best defenses in Premier League, only giving up 15 goals through 19 matches. Southampton is also trying to get in the Wesley Sneijder battle, as his experience could lend a huge hand to help the Saints, and also keep him away from the other suitors vying for his attention.

We suggest you keep your eyes open on the market as you approach the betting window and to make sure you know who is coming and going, as we cannot simply fill this thread with rumors and speculation.

With all that said, we will attempt to play the Southampton handicap and the Pk at +115, due to the fact that they are home, and playing well enough to get a result of some sort, with the Draw no Bet play.

    Manchester United vs Stoke City

    3-Way: 1: Man U -105 Away ; X: +245 Draw ; 2: Stoke City +325 Home

    Spread: Man U -0.5 -105 ; Stoke City +0.5 -115

    Total 2.5: Over +100 ; Under -120

    Analysis and Prediction:

Naturally, Man U is making plenty of news about trying to acquire Gareth Bale from Real Madrid, which could come at the steep price of £90M.

Stoke City is the most recent club apparently seeking a loan move for Joel Campbell, and GK Asmir Begovic is being rumored to make his own move from the club. Stoke's issues have not been on defense this campaign, so they should be turning their attention to finding some scoring options. Until that happens, we will take Man U to get all three points on the 3-Way line of -105.

    Crystal Palace vs Aston Villa

    3-Way: 1: C Palace +235 Away ; X: +225 Draw ; 2: Aston Villa +130 Home

Spread: C Palace Pk +135 ; Aston VIlla Pk -155

    Total 2: Over -130 ; Under +110

    Analysis and Prediction:

Crystal Palace decided to go in a different direction, sacking Manager Neil Warnock over the weekend, and has apparently been in talks with former Newcastle head man Alan Pardew to take over.

Aston Villa is one of the clubs looking to attract AC Milan striker Giampaolo Pazzini, as the Italian club has announced that they are wide open to listening to offers for anyone on their roster.

Both clubs have been struggling lately, and have not been able to secure a win, but Crystal Palace needs to really step it up as they sit in the relegation zone as the 2014 side of the calendar comes to a close. This match has a low-scoring draw written all over it, so that +225 price to expect that exact thing to happen is the way we think to go.

    Everton vs Hull City

    3-Way: 1: Everton +130 Away ; X: +230 Draw ; 2: Hull City +235 Home

Spread: Everton Pk -165 ; Hull City Pk +140

    Total 2.5: Over +125 ; Under -145

    Analysis and Prediction:

As the transfer window comes to a close, the only real news that Everton has made is the return of Australian National and NY Red Bull forward Tim Cahill, but he has said to be happy in the States for now.

It is amazing that Hull City has been extremely quiet in the market, knowing that they are headed for a relegation battle themselves. With only 3 wins on the campaign, and a lack of a big name scorer, we might be talking about second tier next year if they don't right the ship. Luckily for them, Everton is currently playing their worst football of the season, so having this match at home could help start the 2015 side of the campaign. We will suggest the +140 on the Pk Draw no Bet scenario on the home side here.

    Leicester vs Liverpool

    3-Way: 1: Leicester +685 Away ; X: +370 Draw ; 2: Liverpool -235 Home

    Spread: Leicester +1.5 -140; Liverpool -1.5 +120

    Total 3: Over +100 ; Under -120

    Analysis and Prediction:

Well, they did it! We have picked on Leicester plenty lately, and they finally got us this past weekend with a win. However, now the Reds are at home, and we are not about to think that Leicester has it all figured out because they found 3 points over Hull City.

Liverpool looked phenomenal in their 4 - 1 winon Monday, and continue to thrive without Balotelli, who might be headed back to Italy. Inter Milan Manager Roberto Mancini has made it known that he would gladly take him back as one of his players, despite the antics. We will go on a limb and say Liverpool will gladly let him go!

For now, we will take the -1.5 at +120 with Liverpool, and splash the pot on the Over 3 at +100 as well.

    Sunderland vs Manchester City

    3-Way: 1: Sunderland +1050 Away ; X: +600 Draw ; 2: Man City -430 Home

    Spread: Sunderland +1.5 +135 ; Man City -1.5 -155

    Total 3: Over -115 ; Under -105

    Analysis and Prediction:

Man City is one of those clubs seeking Paul Pogba, and has also put their name in the mix to acquire Real Madrid's Ivan Rakitic. Former Man City head man Roberto Mancini has been trying to cooperate with City, looking for players to come to Italy to help reform Inter Milan to a power club in Europe.

Sunderland has been relatively quiet as the New Year approaches, but are trying to stay in contention for Milan's Pazzini, and looking to also catch the attention of Curtis Davies, who has fallen out of favor at Hull City.

There is no value here at all on the home side, with the 3-Way or handicap of -1.5, so the only natural place to go here is another Man City total, which is 3 and -115 for it.

    Burnley vs Newcastle

    3-Way: 1: Burnley +425 Away ; X: +285 Draw ; 2: Newcastle -145 Home

    Spread: Burnley +1 -145 ; Newcastle -1 +125

    Total 2.5: Over -115 ; Under -105

    Analysis and Prediction:

Fabricio Coloccini appears to be next in line to take over at Newcastle for Alan Pardew, despite still being an integral part of the back line as a player for the club. He is also still under contract until 2016 as a defensemen.

Burnley is still decimated by injuries, which has made it tough to bring in players, but with only 14 goals scored on the campaign, they desperately need a front line. Until they find a semblance of offense, there is no reason to leave the -1 handicap on Newcastle at home off the board, especially at a more than reasonable +125.

Bet on the Premier League at BetDSI

    Swansea vs Queens Park

    3-Way: 1: Swansea +150 Away ; X: +230 Draw ; 2: QPR +200 Home

Spread: Swansea Pk -135 ; QPR Pk +115

    Total 2.5: Over +120 ; Under -140

    Analysis and Prediction:

Swansea seems to have some players in mind, most notably the Palermo defender Ezequiel Muñoz, and the team is also in the Joel Campbell conversation. QPR head man Harry Redknapp seems to think the answers he is looking for will come from the MLS of the United States. Robbie Keane and Jermain Defoe have topped his wish list, but neither have confirmed interest in leaving the MLS as of yet.

No matter the moves that could or should be made, with both of them coming off disgusting performances over the weekend, these two clubs don't deserve a play with our hard earned money. A play on the Over 2.5 might be a decent suggestion, simply because it is +120, and certainly has the potential to happen.

    West Brom vs West Ham

    3-Way: 1: West Brom +365 Away ; X: +260 Draw ; 2: West Ham -120 Home

    Spread: West Brom +0.5 +100; West Ham -0.5 -120

    Total 2.5: Over -105 ; Under -115

    Analysis and Prediction:

West Brom has been looking to make a connection with Celtic striker Kris Commons, but he has not shown much interest as of yet. As 2014 comes to an end, West Brom certainly needs a change of some sort, as three straight losses finds them on the edge of the relegation zone.

West Ham has appeared to be more of a seller than a buyer as the second half of the campaign gets closer, so they are apparently going to finish out the year with what is in place. They sit with 31 points on the edge of a European spot, but have lost two straight to clubs above them in the table. If West Ham does not take advantage of West Brom at home, than there will be plenty of speculation as to why West Ham seems content with the club they have.

We will play West Ham at home at -120 to find all 3 points, and if they struggle in the least, we will have to see if they continue going in the wrong direction.

Bet on the Premier League at BetDSI

    Chelsea vs Tottenham

    3-Way: 1: Chelsea -130 Away ; X: +265 Draw ; 2: Tottenham +390 Home

    Spread: Chelsea -0.5 -130 ; Tottenham +0.5 +110

    Total 2.5: Over -105 ; Under -115

    Analysis and Prediction:

We could write a book about both Chelsea’s and Tottenham's prospects through the transfer window, so let's not do that and take up 1,000 characters about it. Tottenham will not beat Chelsea, and if this match were at Chelsea, we would be looking at a -180 or higher.

Chelsea 3-Way at -130 is good enough to consider a play on it, so that is where we will look for some action.
