MLS Soccer Betting: San Jose vs Los Angeles
Saturday, June 27th, 2015By Ej Garr
MLS Odds: The scorching hot Los Angeles Galaxy blast in to San Jose with 16 goals scored in the last three outings. Buckle up people, because these two will get to know each other quite well over the next five days, as they are set to meet again in the U.S Open Cup round of 16on Wednesday.
This MLS game will take place at the University of Stanford Stadium, while the U.S Open Cup affair will be held back at Avaya Stadium on July 1, at the Earthquakes new arena that just opened this season. The Galaxy has certainly benefited from having their lineup back intact, after injuries and international duty has seen their players scattered worldwide. Things are only going to get better, as Stephen Gerrard is in camp and preparing for his season debut soon enough for the defending MLS champs.
As we've mentioned before in the Galaxy previews leading up this outing, the team will not leave California until their game with Houston onJuly 25. They have been in the Golden State since June 16, when they hosted PSA Elite in the Open Cup's 4th round, and will finish the stretch with yet another appearance against San Jose at StubHub Center onJuly 17.
Los Angeles has scored five goals in three straight games, and enter the game following the destruction of the Portland defense. Outside of the Open Cup affair with Seattle, and only including MLS action, the Timbers had held their last two opponents to clean sheets, and only allowed five goals in their last six league games.
San Jose had the luxury of facing a Seattle Sounders team that was without Clint Dempsey and Obafemi Martins last time out, as Dempsey was serving his first of a three-game suspension, while Martins was carted off the U.S Open Cup game with a long term injury.
The Earthquakes had never really struggled with Seattle even without the absences, and have had their number for quite some time regardless of the lineups. We all certainly enjoyed cashing the ticket on the Quakes in that one, especially at +300 on the Pk action as the suggested offer in the preview.
With the Galaxy losing the Supporters Shield by three points last year, and having settled for draws twice against a San Jose team that simply was not very good last year, San Jose comes into the game knowing exactly what to expect from the Bruce Arena lead club.
Some would argue that those results late in the season could be the reason why LA had to settle for second place, letting the final two games of the season slip away to Seattle, as the Galaxy and Sounders played a home and home series in the final two regular season games.

Quick Analysis & Prediction
This San Jose squad is not going to slow down the Galaxy, and we are yet again going to be turning our attention to the total in this one.
How can anyone ignore 16 goals in three games, and not recognize the free-flowing offense that has everyone finding the net, led by defending league MVP Robbie Keane? His ability to find the players making the runs may not be the same as David Beckham's ability to complete 30-yard passes, but now that Keane is back and healthy and really looking forward to Gerrard's influence, this team could easily go out and score five more this weekend.
Yes sir! We offered the Over in the LA game against Philly, and we again offered the Over in LA's last outing against Portland, so sometimes you just have to roll with the punches and get to what's real. Thank you David Lee Roth for that, because we will JUMP on it, and offer the Over 2.5 at a lovely +105, catching the line setters sleeping at the wheel once again!
