Friday, April 24th, 2015By Ej Garr
MLS Odds: The Los Angeles Galaxy begins a three-week stretch where they will play four of their next five games away from home, and it all begins Sundayat Red Bull Arena. The Galaxy has won their last two games over Seattle and Kansas City to pull within five points of first place Vancouver in the Western Conference standings.
The win over Kansas City last weekend came in the waning seconds of extra time, as Omar Gonzalez came forward to redirect a corner kick in to the back of the net, giving the Galaxy their third win of the season. Los Angeles scored early in the game when Baggio Husidic gave them a 1 - 0 lead less than 10 minutes in to the game, but Kansas City equalized in the 22nd minute after a Krisztián Németh goal.
The second half was dominated by the Galaxy, holding Kansas City without a shot on goal, while putting up five shots of their own, and taking the seventh corner kick of the half that ended up sealing the three points for the defending champs at home. New York finds themselves in a three-way tie atop the Eastern Conference standings with DC United and New England all with 11 points. However, New York has only played five games to United's six and New England's seven.
The Red Bulls are the last team in the league to be without a loss, outscoring their opponents 9 - 4 in the early going. The most memorable of which is the DC United match two weekends ago in which they were down 2 - 0, and managed to come back to secure a point from a draw.
New York played an almost perfect first half last weekend against San Jose. They scored twice and limited San Jose to one shot on goal, and only two attempts towards the frame.Luis Robles kept his second clean sheet of the season, and the Red Bulls defense gained even more confidence to hold onto going forward.

Quick Analysis & Prediction
When you can say you have not lost yet, it shows that the team is playing together and getting results with good goalkeeping and timely goals. It also has an obvious effect on your opponents as each club you face now will want to be the one who ends the streak.
With a big back line and a confident keeper, the Galaxy obviously has a team that can slow down anyone, so this match on paper is surely as close to even as it gets. The problem for the Galaxy comes on the injury front, with Keane out, Villarreal dealing with a hammy injury, and Buddle, Dunivant and Leonardo all on the sidelines for this game.
To see a golden price of -125 on New York at home with a depleted Galaxy lineup, the most significant of course being Keane, seems like a gift from the line setters here. LA is obviously getting respect for being the defending champs and for coming off last weekend's win in fashion, but none of that matters when you go to New York.
Until New York loses, the Pk Draw no Bet option at -125 makes our board, and even if we do see a 1 - 1 type of match, no harm done, and we simply move on with our money back!
