    Kansas-City-vs-Seattle odds

MLS Odds: With three wins and a draw in their last four games, Seattle has put themselves atop the Western Conference, and are already in the Supporters Shield discussion at many media outlets, albeit just a third of the way through the year.

Sounder's defender Brad Evans will be traveling with the U.S Men's National Team in preparation for the Friendlies with the Netherlands and Germany onJune 5 and 10, and there are other concerns in camp as well.In the Seattle weekly presser,Coach Sigi Schmid spoke of a lineup concern with Evans and others out from injury or international duty, and he was also quite adamant about giving the players rest from the three games in the last nine days.

The Sounders are coming off a successful three-game home stand, and will start another three-game home stand upon leaving Kansas City, which includes a U.S Cup battle with Portland at CenturyLink Field onJune 16.

That will again put the Sounders on the field for a three-game stretch in eight days. They will also host Dallas and San Jose, wrapped around their U.S Cup outing, on successive Saturdays in MLS action.

This series is also one of those types of affairs that has seen a late goal in extra time, with five of the last nine MLS games between the two all decided in Seattle's favor. Not ironically, Seattle leads all of MLS again in 2015, outscoring their opponents 8 - 1, after the hour mark.

However, these two also have three U.S Cup meetings, the first happening in 2008. They also played two Desert Cup matches this past February, when Kansas City finally won a game at CenturyLink Field.

Sporting Kansas City is the last left in the West besides Los Angeles to have not lost on their home grounds this season, while outscoring their opponents 13 - 5, in the seven games played at Sporting Park.

Sporting has quietly gone a stretch with only one loss in their last 11 games played, being in the thick of the Western Conference leader board race all season. Tied with Dallas and the Galaxy with 21 points, and with Vancouver struggling only two points ahead of the three, these three points for either side could change the standings considerably. Seattle is five points ahead of the group at 21 points.

We do know that Dom Dwyer and Seth Sinovic are definitely out for Sporting KC. Although there is no official player listed on the MLS injury report, Brad Davis is out and Dempsey declined to travel with the U.S Team, citing his health and availability. This may show that his investment is more in the Seattle season, instead of the Friendlies with the Dutch and Germans.

Of course, please check your lineups on game day when we have so many exterior events taking place. With the U.S Cup, Copa Americana in Chile starting onJune 11th, andthe Euro 2016 sixth round of group stage taking place fromJune 12 - 14, it will cause for some absences around the league over the next two weekends, if not beyond that.

    Last 10 MLS Meetings:

Seattle has dominated the series, having 7 Wins, 1 Loss and 2 Draws in 10 all-time MLS meetings. The only Kansas City win came in the first ever meeting in the 2009 season, with Seattle taking a result in 9 of 10 games.

    Quick Analysis & Prediction

    Quick Analysis:

Well, as we heard out of the mouth of Sigi Schmid early in the week, the only game plan they had early in the week’s as preparation for this game was to get the guys some rest, and prepare for another long stretch of games on deck.

Naturally, the absence of Dom Dwyer and Seth Sinovic are concerns from a betting standpoint. Without their influence in the match, it could have the same impact as if Dempsey doesn’t go. We will see what lineups come outon Saturday.

Without a lot of stability in the lineups at the moment for either side, the expectation of a bold prediction would not make sense, so with minimal action, we suggest the +0.5 handicap line on the Sounders at -130, although the juice is not exactly squeezable for the action.

Seeing a possible low-scoring draw here is the reason for the play, as we know Seattle's defense has been stingy, with only 10 goals allowed on the year. It is tough to have confidence in this Kansas City lineup as it might appear, and we do not see them as capable of scoring more than a goal to level the game. If KC finds themselves down 1 - 0, and the Sounders score first, it is going to take a lot to see KC even salvage a point at home.

The play goes in as a +0.5 handicap on the away side at -130.
