MLS Soccer Betting: Colorado vs Kansas City
Friday, August 28th, 2015By Ej Garr
MLS Odds: Sporting Kansas City has had a stranglehold on the Colorado Rapids since the 2009 MLS season, and they look to continue that trend when the two meet for the second of three regular season meetingson Saturday. Both teams are going in opposite directions suddenly, as Kansas City is looking to shake a two-game skid, while the Rapids are looking to improve on their own two-game win streak.
Sporting KC has survived the two-game slide and maintained their playoff position in the difficult Western Conference, as they cling to 40 points and tied with Portland for the all-important third position in the standings. Sporting's injury list is mounting as well, and we now see six names on the report that join the lengthy injuries to Ike Opara and Roger Espinoza.
Bernardo Ador, Soni Mustavar, Amobi Okugo and Jalil Anibaba are likely absences this weekend again after each sat out of last weekend’s 3 - 2 loss to Columbus.
In the loss to Columbus, Kansas City gave up two leads in the game, as they scored first early after a Marcel de Jong goal in the 14th minute, and again took a 2 - 1 lead just after the hour mark.
Columbus scored twice in eight minutes as regulation time was drawing near to leave Sporting with their second consecutive loss, after the 5 - 0 shellacking they took from San Jose at home.
This will be the second of a four-game road trip for Kansas City, who will have 10 days off to prepare for their stops in Portland and Orlando before returning home onSeptember 18to face Dallas.
Colorado has eked out two wins in a row and have a strange pattern going to their recent results. The Rapids lost three games, before a three-game win streak, and again lost three games facing a current two game win streak, so might they hold the form and make it another three consecutive win streak?
Hey, some people like to know these things okay, just throwing it out there!
Seriously though, the Rapids still have a lot of work left to do if they are going to get in the playoff conversation, although they are only five points behind Seattle and San Jose who are battling for that spot as of now.
Colorado will be playing four consecutive games against teams who are currently in a playoff position, as they will face Vancouver, Toronto and DC United to get September started after this outing.
Bobby Burling is suspended this weekend for the Rapids after picking up a yellow card accumulation ban, and the same five players who have been on the recent injury report remain as questionable or out this weekend.

Quick Analysis & Prediction
Colorado has not beaten Kansas City since March, 2009, and we can imagine they know as much about that as they need to.
Even with Colorado having a two-game win streak, and Kansas City looking to snap a two-game skid of their own, we still see Kansas City as the team who will come out of Dick's Sporting Goods Park with a result of some nature.
We see a value line to throw on the board, and we are going to take advantage of it, so let's get to the prediction.
The line of +125 certainly adds a flair to the play, so let's see if a big road win is in the cards for Sporting KC to continue the trend of killing it in this series.
We offer the Pk Draw no Bet option here, so at worst if Kansas City can only come up with a point from a draw, we can walk away knowing we at least made the attempt at that +125 line.
