MLS Soccer Betting at BetDSI - Vancouver vs Dallas
Tuesday, October 28th, 2014By Ej Garr
MLS Odds: Vancouver is certainly not limping into the playoffs, finishing the season without a loss in their last 5 matches. They did it with defense. The best way to win in any league is to keep the ball out of your own net, and 4 of those last 5 matches they did exactly that. Four clean sheets tend to help a playoff push, and no one, including Seattle, found the net against them down the stretch.
Dallas was a scoring machine most of the season, and then when the matches started to have more importance the scoring stopped and it cost them a better seed.
Now they have to essentially play for their lives, but they do get to play this match at home. The winner of this matchup will have the lovely task of taking on top-seeded Seattle with only 3 days of rest.

Quick Analysis & Prediction
There was nothing stopping Dallas Overs from flying in most of the season, and now they have to battle a team that has not surrendered a goal in its last 4 matches. This ends up being a matchup of two entirely different approaches. Dallas will press and take shots from anywhere on the pitch.
Vancouver simply does not give you space near the box and plays a 6-7 deep style with their 4 - 2 - 3 - 1 to clog every and any lane you thought you had. David Ousted was outstanding as the matches became more important and has quite a scoreless streak going. They really only press forward in transition and would much rather sit back and wait for opportunities to push forward.
David Ousted! Yes, the goalie will win this match, and obviously he won't do it by scoring. Being a huge fan of old school Italian football, I love what Vancouver is doing, and they could not be doing it at a better time.
I will jump all over the +0.5 at a reasonable line expecting, at worst, a draw, if not a Vancouver outright win.
