MLS Soccer Betting at BetDSI: Toronto vs Dallas
Thursday, April 16th, 2015By Ej Garr
MLS Odds: Toronto continues their seven-game MLS road trip to start 2015, and has not fared well so far with a 1 - 3 record through the first half of the trip. Naturally, that will help them as the season comes to a close when they have plenty of home games, but for now they have to start getting more positive results in hopes of not falling too far back in the standings.
Toronto won their first game of the year against fellow Canadians Vancouver, but have since lost three straight, getting outscored 7 - 3 against Columbus, Salt Lake and Chicago. After a bye weekend last weekend, they come into this match well rested and hoping to regroup. In fact, they will have eight straight Away matches to start the year if you include the Canadian Championships against Montreal at Stade SaputoMay 6.
It certainly is not a result of a weak roster, as this Toronto squad has quite a few international level players on the roster, such as Michael Bradley and Jozy Altidore, Polish International Damien Perquis, and Italian national Sebastian Giovinco to name a few. Robbie Findley also has plenty of experience on the international level, and we will expect them to be fine over the length of the season.
Dallas got off to a hot start in 2015, going 3 - 0 out of the gate, but have since come up on hard times. They now sit in second place behind Vancouver after a draw and two consecutive losses to Portland and Colorado, who are both at the bottom of the Western Conference standings.
Dallas saw Colorado break out for four goals last weekend, after having not scored a single goal up to that point, while also giving up three to Portland the weekend before. They were originally thought to be one of the more sound defenses in the league, when they came out 3 - 0 only giving up a single goal to start the year through 3 games.

Quick Analysis & Prediction
In 13 meetings in MLS, Toronto has one win to show for their efforts against Dallas, and having to continue this road trip as they are certainly won't make it much easier.
We watched Altidore and Bradley play in the friendly with MexicoWednesdayin the 2 - 0 U.S win, although Altidore only saw a few minutes at the tail end of the game.
Dallas' defense is now the team’s concern, as they are on the opposite side of the spectrum when it comes to the schedule. This will mark the fifth home game for the team through their first seven matches, and they are, most likely, wanting to get back on the field quickly to forget the 4 - 0 drubbing they got handed by Colorado last weekend.
With the Dallas defense looking as bad as they have been lately, and Toronto still traveling making their fifth of seven straight road games to start the year, this presents a lovely opportunity to expect some goal scoring at Toyota Stadium this weekend.
We did call for Colorado to break out last weekend as you may have read in our preview for that match, although they did not send us the thank you note we were hoping for when we published the preview.
Now, we expect not only the three goals that will cash our Over 2.5 ticket at -110, but we also expect that it will not end there, so the Over 2.5 goes on the boardthis Saturday, and $10 worth of juice is nothing to ask on the action.
