MLS Soccer Betting at BetDSI: Seattle vs Colorado
Friday, July 17th, 2015By Ej Garr
MLS Odds: Seattle has had complete control of the Houston Dynamo since entering MLS in 2009, and has won 14 of the 18 all-time meetings, and look for another season sweep in the series this weekend. Seattle has already clinched the season series with two wins under their belt against Houston in 2015, which marks the fifth time in seven seasons that they have accomplished the feat.
The Sounders have managed to appear in a first place tie in the Western Conference, despite the absence of both Obafemi Martins and Clint Dempsey, who will be out of the lineup this weekend again, as will Brad Evans. Martins and Dempsey have each been out of the lineup since the U.S Open Cup loss to Portland, as Martins was carted off the field late in the game, and we know that Dempsey was suspended and has since joined the U.S team for the Gold Cup.
Coach Sigi Schmid addressed the injuries to Andy Craven and Stefan Frei in his presser this week, and welcomed the return of Marco Pappa to practicethis Thursday. Schmid is hoping Pappa could see some playing time this weekend, and Frei tested his injury this week and could return this weekend. Pappa playedon Wednesdayfor Guatemala in the Gold Cup, but was knocked out of the group stage by Cuba after the 1 - 0 loss.
Seattle will wrap up their July schedule next weekend in Montreal, and will play eight games in August, including Champions League outings against Vancouver and two matches against Honduran side CD Olimpia.
Colorado has scored eight of their 17 goals this season after the 75 minute mark, while riding a two-match win streak entering the weekend.
The Rapids will not be taking the field again until August, and have two weeks for prepare for successive home games against the LA Galaxy and Columbus Crew to start the month.
Colorado still appears at the bottom of the Western Conference standings, and only has 15 games left in the regular season to turn it around.
Defender Bobby Burling will be out of action after picking up a yellow card last weekend against Real Salt Lake, and Axel Sjoberg will also likely be out with the knee injury that kept him out of action last weekend.
Luis Solignac is likely out for two more weeks, and Dillon Serna is undergoing an MRI on his back to see the extent of the injury.

Quick Analysis & Prediction
The line setters are undoubtedly expecting a low-scoring game, slapping a -140 on the under and making it simply out of reach for us to suggest such a play.
With that said, there is a play on the board that makes sense to us, although that, too, has a price to pay at -125, but it is the best play we think we can find here so let's throw in our prediction.
The Colorado +0.5 handicap at -125 makes some sense here and goes in as our recommendation, as we know the Rapids have already managed to draw nine times in 19 games played.
That result would suit us fine, and is simply all we need to see to cash the ticket. We will test the ability of Seattle to churn out results at home without their two major players up front, and while Dempsey and Martins have been out, we have gladly faded this club time and again.
