MLS Soccer Betting at BetDSI: Real Salt Lake vs Sporting KC
Friday, April 10th, 2015By Ej Garr
MLS Odds: Real Salt Lake and Sporting Kansas City meet on Saturdayat Sporting Park for the first of three meetings between the clubs this year. Salt Lake has yet to suffer a defeat in 2015, with two wins and two draws which account for their 8 points. This ties them with Sporting in the Western Conference standings as they enter the weekend.
Real Salt Lake escaped Avaya Stadium last weekend with a 1 - 0 road win on the strength of a goal from Javier Morales as halftime was coming to an end. They only registered two official shots on goal in the game, but obviously they only needed one of them to find the net to come out with three points. Salt Lake and the Red Bulls are the only two teams in 2015 that have not seen anything in the loss column, which is good enough to put both clubs in the top three of their respective conferences.
Kansas City comes off a miracle finish against Philadelphia last weekend at PPL Park, when KC entered the 90th minute down 2 - 1, only to find the two goals they desperately needed in extra time. This push ripped the victory away from the visiting Philadelphia Union. Philly looked to have three points safely in hand, only to watch their first win of the year get ripped away in a 3 minute span.
After Jacob Peterson put a ball into his own net to give Philadelphia a 1 - 0 lead in the opening minutes of the game, Dom Dwyer scored to equalize the match in the 16th minute for KC. Just three minutes later,Fernando Aristeguieta then found the net to give the Union back their lead, and it looked as if it would be enough to upset Kansas City at home.
Both clubs met only once last year, as a result of being in different conferences in 2014, and they played to a scoreless draw.

Quick Analysis & Prediction
Naturally, winning a game in the fashion that Kansas City did last weekend will give this team much needed momentum, and now they also get to stay home and enjoy their fans’ support again this weekend.Real Salt Lake will play their second straight away game, making the trip from San Jose to Sporting.
With both teams tied at 8 points, it does make this match interesting. Of course both teams have expectations for the post season. These head to head results can certainly factor in to the final standings, so we certainly do not expect either team to sit back and settle for a draw as we saw last year.
Last year's game between these two teams was also in early April, but obviously they were in different conferences and the weight of the result does not have the same effect that it will this year when Kansas City moves from the Eastern Conference to the Western Conference this year.
Hopefully, these two can supply us with a nice 90 minute show, and not settle for a low-scoring draw. After all, they know the importance that these early season meetings can have later in the year. As a result, we will hope they go all out on Saturday and find the net often enough to suggest this Over 2.5 at a lovely +105 for our efforts.
