MLS Soccer Betting at BetDSI Montreal Impact vs Chicago Fire
Friday, October 3rd, 2014By Ej Garr
MLS Odds:The Chicago Fire held on to their slim playoff hopes with a draw in the final seconds of extra time in their match vs Philadelphia on October 2. After going down 1 - 0 in the 88th minute, it looked as if any hope of a result was lost, but Robert Earnshaw found the net with 15 seconds left in extra time, to notch the 1 - 1 draw. With 4 matches left, they will need to take advantage of a Montreal team that has been dismal this year.
Montreal is in the cellar of the Eastern Conference and their defense is clearly the issue. As a result, they have 54 Goals Allowed combined with 18 losses.
The only thing they are fighting for is trying to make it harder for four teams who are trying to stay in the playoff battle (Chic, NE, Tor & DC).

Quick Analysis & Prediction
Clearly outlined as the scenario in play, Chicago needs 3 points and Montreal is playing out the schedule trying to get in the way of the four teams left who all have playoff aspirations.
Despite the late goal to draw with Philly on Thursday, Montreal is actually playing better soccer of the two teams. Chicago has one win in its last 9 outings, and Montreal has 5 wins in its last 10 matches, so as far as I see this meeting, Montreal has no reason to head to the midway and let Chicago take anything that they haven't earned. This could essentially end Chicago's hopes and, unfortunately for the Fire, Montreal is playing the way a playoff team should be playing down the stretch yet they are the ones out of it!
I see a good bit of value on the +0.5 with Montreal and the price that comes with it at +105. Chicago is not playing like they have to win every game and Montreal is playing hands above what they should be for a team out of any playoff contention.
I will take the Handicap +0.5 at +105 on the Impact on the road.
