MLS Soccer Betting at BetDSI: Los Angeles vs Toronto
Friday, July 3rd, 2015By Ej Garr
MLS Odds: Toronto will be without four starters in their lineup this weekend, as they make their lone appearance in Los Angeles this year. The absences of Michael Bradley, Jozy Altidore, Jonathan Osorio and Ashtone Morgan will leave Toronto short-handed, as they all will be taking part in the Gold Cup for their respective national teams.
Michael Bradley found out this week that he will be wearing the captain’s armband for the U.S Men's National Team, on the heels of the Clint Dempsey's extended suspension from both MLS and U.S Open Cup. Jurgen Klinsmann made the decision after the announcement that Dempsey would be receiving an additional two-year ban from the U.S Open Cup, citing Bradley's experience and leadership qualities in the midfield. Bradley will be earning his 100th international cap over the course of the Gold Cup.
The Toronto team page has issued their projected starting lineup for this weekend, and Coach Greg Vanney will not be deviating from his normal 4-3-1-2 approach.
Benoit Cheyrou has appeared to have recovered from his calf injury that kept him out of action last weekend, while Luke Moore will be joining Sebastian Giovinco on the front line. Justin Morrow will likely play left back to replace the absence of Ashtone Morgan, and Jay Chapman is on pace to get his first career start, replacing Bradley in the three-man diamond formation up front.
Toronto will be playing four of their next five league games away from home, although they will host a friendly with English Premier League's Sunderland during that stretch. The Reds will head to Yankee Stadium to face NYCFCnext Sunday, and play host to the Union onJuly 18 before the Sunderland encounter onJuly 22.
The Los Angeles Galaxy are coming off back-to-back affairs with the San Jose Earthquakes away from home. After losing their MLS encounter 3 - 1 at Stanford Stadium, they quickly rebounded to get by the Quakes at Avaya Stadium this week in the U.S Open Cup with a 1 - 0 win.
Jose Villarreal took a splendid feed from Kenney Walker behind the San Jose defense, controlling the ball with one touch, while sliding a shot past the Quakes’ keeper in the 6th minute of play. The Galaxy will facing Real Salt Lake in the quarterfinals of the U.S Cup at Rio Tinto Stadium onJuly 14.
The Galaxy's Alan Gordon will be suspended for this game, after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season in the first meeting with San Jose in the MLS match. Robbie Rogers must also avoid a booking to avoid suspension, as he sits with 4 yellow cards entering the weekend.
The Galaxy will also be facing some significant absences through July, as Jaime Penedo, Gyasi Zardes and Omar Gonzales are all participating in the Gold Cup.

Quick Analysis & Prediction
This is an extremely difficult match to predict, as so many players from both sides will be with their national teams, although we do know who will be on the pitch for the most part.
The Galaxy are heavily favored at home, of course, although the -150 leaves us no room to make a play on the 3-Way line. At the same token, the +1 with Toronto is -145, so the line setters are giving us no room to make a play on either side of the action.
This has the potential to be a 2 - 1 LA win, although Giovinco will certainly present problems for the LA back line.
The Over would be much easier to chase if the players who are not here were in the game, but at the same token, the players we do see should have some success in finding the net.
We see a -115 on the Over 2.5 action, and we expect a 2 - 1 score in favor of the home side, somehow, some way, so the total is where we will turn to suggest some action to round out theSaturdayMLS slate.
