MLS Odds: Sporting KC plays host to Dallas at Sporting Park as theFridaynight game of the week on Univision, and Kansas City enters the match riding a five-game streak without a loss. Kansas City has earned nine points in their last five outings, with two wins and three draws accounting for the current 5-game run that has them tied with San Jose with 18 points in the Western Conference standings.

The scoreless draw in Seattle last weekend is certainly still seen as a positive. Even if Martins was unavailable the Sounders are just as dangerous as any club in MLS. To keep them to a clean sheet in their building is a confidence building result.

Seattle certainly controlled the possession battle at 69 / 31, but only managed a single shot on goal, which didn't come until the second half.

Dallas has been within first place most of the year so far, as we know they got off to a hot start, went through a rough patch, and have since recovered enough to be alone in second place in the Western Conference.

Dallas had their own 5-game stretch without a loss snapped last time out, as the Impact got an early advantage from a penalty kick to go up 1 - 0 early. J McInerney made it 2 - 0 in the 50th minute early in the second half, and Dallas could only answer once in retaliation, to take the 2 - 1 loss.

Fabian Castillo and Stephen Keel will be out of action for Dallas, and Sporting KC is dealing with a mounting injury list of their own.

Officially from the MLS home page: Ike Opara will be out for a few months, andhis fellow defenders Seth Sinovic and Chance Myers will be out of action as well. Midfielders Roger Espinoza, Bernardo Anor, and Marcel de Jong will be absent, with the biggest news being that Dom Dwyer is also out of the lineup with the neck injury.

    Quick Analysis & Prediction

    Quick Analysis:

Too many big injuries mounting up for Sporting is a growing concern from a team perspective and a betting perspective as well.

The analysis of that alone spells trouble for Kansas City, even if the home fans will try to provide some lift at Sporting Park.

It looks like we might have room for a handicap play on Dallas, so let's get our suggestion on the board.

Dallas and the +0.5 handicap at -120 is more than fair to expect them to rebound from the loss at Montreal, facing a depleted Sporting club.

A draw would be the perfect outcome to cash this ticket, which is nice when you can put yourself in a position to cash these types of bets with either a win or a draw needed. Odds increase quite a bit when you can have an offer on two of the three possible outcomes to return to the window with a winning ticket.
