MLS Soccer Betting at BetDSI: Houston vs Los Angeles
Thursday, May 21st, 2015By Ej Garr
MLS Odds: The Dynamo and Galaxy face off for their second of three meetings in 2015, and no winner could be found in the first game, with each grabbing a point from the 1 - 1 draw. The two teams are currently headed in different directions, as Houston is winners of two straight outings, while the Galaxy has gone five straight without a win.
Houston finally earned their first back-to-back wins of the season last weekend, and did it in resounding fashion. They put three goals in the back of the net against Portland, who anchor themselves on the defensive side of the ball. They have also outscored their last two opponents 5 - 2 in the two wins. They ruined the party for Toronto the weekend before, while the Reds were finally making their first home appearance on the season.
Los Angeles' Robbie Keane returned to practice this week, and says that he feels no pain in the groin that has kept him out of action sinceApril 4. His absence is not the only concern for the team, as there is a growing list of players still expected to be out. The biggest may be the in the middle of the back line, as Omar Gonzalez is likely to miss his second straight game.
We see how his absence affected the team last weekend, in allowing four goals to Orlando City who are not exactly seen as an offensive juggernaut in MLS.
The Galaxy is still among one of the best home teams in the league, having not lost in any of their five home games, but Houston will walk in to StubHub Center with growing confidence. They know they can rely on the back line and GK Tyler Deric to play well and, with so many injuries for LA, this will be no easy task to keep that home record in check.

Quick Analysis & Prediction
The first place we have to look here is the handicap line, for two reasons. First, even if Robbie Keane makes it back to the field, he is not in game shape, and with Omar Gonzalez out of the mix this LA defense is simply not the same team. The second reason is that we already saw that when LA was healthy, that Houston could get a result against the defending champs, and the 1 - 1 result early in the year was certainly seen as acceptable.
We are gladly going to chase the handicap line on the away team in this one, and until LA is healthy, we can certainly not but in to what they are selling just because they are defending champs.
The Houston +0.5 at a lovely +125 will gladly make our board for theFridaynight match on Univision. If 1 - 1 is the result that comes again, we will be more than happy to see it.
