MLS Odds: The Houston Dynamo now finds themselves back in the Western Conference after four years spent in the East, with the addition of the two new clubs to the league this year. They make their first of three encounters with the league champs this season, two of which will be played here at StubHub Center.

So far this season after just two games, the Dynamo has found that their goalkeeper, Tyler Deric, is the only one making headlines. After week one, he was the Goalkeeper of the Week for his stellar performance against the Columbus Crew, keeping a clean sheet and making multiple impressive saves to keep the Ohio team off the score board.

He followed up that performance up last weekend, as the cause of the only goal Orlando City was given credit for when he mishandled a pass from his defender, created a turnover, and punched the ball into his own net. It went in the books as an own goal.

The Galaxy opened week one of the season here at StubHub Center with a relatively easy win over Chicago, who has not scored a goal in either of their two outings thus far.

Last weekend, the Galaxy found themselves down two separate times in their game against Portland. They went down 1 - 0 at the half-hour mark after a goal from Fanendo Adi for the Timbers, but found an equalizer in the 65th minute when Gyasi Zardes took a pass from Villarreal and found the net.

The Galaxy seemed to be on the brink of giving up all three points to the Timbers when Adi again found the net in the 90th minute, once again giving Portland a one-goal lead with only a few minutes of extra time left to play.

In the second minute of extra time, Alan Gordon scored his first goal of the year and salvaged the draw to keep the Galaxy in second place in the West with 4 points on the season.

Quick Analysis & Prediction Quick Analysis:

In 17 home games last season, the Galaxy lost a single game, with a 12 - 4 - 1 record, taking in 40 of their 61 overall points on the year at StubHub Center. They also went 3 - 0 at home in the playoffs, including a home win in the finals against the New England Revolution, which we know took extra time to complete.

Officially, the Dynamo has yet to actually concede a goal to any player, as it certainly was no fault of anyone other than Tyler Deric accounting for the only goal the team has given up on the year.

It's amazing how, in two weeks of play, Tyler Deric has gone from hero to goat, but we know he is among the best keepers in all of MLS despite the mistake he made that cost the club three points last week.

The Houston offense hasn't exactly helped the team's cause, and failed to bail out Deric on the mishap, because the team did not officially put a shot on goal and anyone who watched that match saw the dysfunction in the Houston offense.

The LA defense is not exactly easy to break down, and if Houston thought Orlando City was tough, imagine how they see the task of getting through this Galaxy back line. Naturally, the line setters have seen enough of the Houston offense to reveal that they are sold on the Galaxy to come out of this game with an easy win.

The Galaxy is the obvious choice in this spot, but we all know that you will not find us giving out -245 type of plays around here.

We will turn to this total. We nailed the Over last weekend with the Galaxy, and we will turn that around in this spot, and expect a 1 - 0 type win for the home side. The Under 2.5 is the play, with a reasonable +105 on the action.
