MLS Soccer Betting at BetDSI: Houston vs Chicago
Thursday, July 2nd, 2015By Ej Garr
MLS Odds: The Chicago Fire has now lost four straight league games as they enter their match with the Houston Dynamoon Fridaynight, although both clubs came out victorious in their U.S Open Cup outings this week. Despite the recent run of poor results for the Fire in MLS action, they have won each of their two Open Cup affairs and will be moving on to the quarterfinals to face Orlando City later in July at home.
After being down 1 - 0 to USL side Charlotte early in their U.S Cup outingon Tuesday, the Fire was able to rebound with three unanswered goals and secure a 3 - 1 win at Toyota Park. Mike Magee's brace carried the team, scoring the first and third goals of the match, while the Fire have only faced two USL clubs to advance to the final eight of the tournament.
The Fire has a busy month of July on deck, as they will leave Houston, and return home to face Seattle onJuly 11. They will then have a home and home series with the Columbus Crew, before resuming their U.S Open Cup affair hosting Orlando City onJuly 22. The Fire will end the month at home with New England, giving Chicago four home games of the six scheduled in July.
In recent MLS action, the Fire have been absolutely dismal, being outscored 9 - 3 in the last four games, with the most recent loss coming against DC United on June 24. In the 1 - 0 home loss, Chicago did hold on to the ball for 62% of the possession battle, but only managed a single shot on goal. United goalkeeper Bill Hamid added to his clean sheet total this season, leaving the Fire in the Western Conference basement.
Houston enters the weekend on the heels of their own U.S Open victory, defeating Colorado in a 1 - 0 home win at BBVA Compass Stadium. The Dynamo has won their last four home games, spanning two U.S Open Cup affairs and two MLS outings, while outscoring their opponents 10 - 3.
Houston will be playing Sporting Kansas City in the Open Cup quarterfinals, as KC beat up on DallasWednesdaywith a resounding 6 - 2 win, that saw Dom Dwyer score four of the six goals.
As well as the Dynamo has played at home recently, they are only a handful of points out of the Western Conference cellar, with a five-point separation on the Colorado Rapids.
The Dynamo enters the weekend with two straight 2 - 0 road losses in league play to Portland and Dallas, while playing to the Under in 13 of their 19 games this year, including the two U.S Cup affairs.

Quick Analysis & Prediction
Despite being in separate conferences this season, these two know each other quite well from their time together in the East. As we know, Houston was one of the two teams who moved West to make room for the two new expansion franchises that joined the East this year.
This will be the only meeting of the year for these two teams and, going past the 10 meetings we mentioned in the caption, the Dynamo are 9 - 4 - 6 against the Fire in the last 19 meetings.
We will be backing the Dynamo at home in this match, with a lovely price of +120 on the 3-Way action. We simply do not have faith in the Fire that they can shake the four game skid by taking an away game against a Houston club that has played extremely well at Toyota Park lately.
The Dynamo should emerge as the victors, and that is where our suggestion goes inthis Fridaynight affair.
